This was my second time eating here with my aunt. We had breakfast which was great. I had fish cakes and eggs. My aunt ate chicken and waffles. The people were real friendly. All color of people was observed walking into this restaurant. It felt real warm comfortable and safe to be in Harlem. This is a famous restaurant and... More

I've been there because it was recommanded to take a brunch by "Le Guide du Routard" and many others.. As it's a popular restaurant, we had to wait 45 min for the table but the food and service was fast. We tried their famous dishes. The chicken wings and waffles were no tasty at all and so dry, the maccaroni... More

I've only heard great things about the food and it comes highly recommended. It's a down home spot, nothing fancy but the vibrant, celebrity historic murals brighten up the place. I ordered the Ruby Dee, catfish, cabbage, and mac n cheese. It was tasty and seasoned well. Next time, I'll get my fish fried harder but it was a good... More

Some of the BEST southern food I've had in a while! Growing up in the south the food here made me remember being in my Grandma's house on Sunday afternoon. Portions were huge, you could actually share it, it was so big. Great flavor! Service was on point. Right by the subway exit so easily accessible. Will visit again next... More

We waited 45 minutes in 40-degree weather after church today. It was worth it. My travel pal scarfed down chicken n waffles--- I have no clue why people like that combo. I got fried chicken, collards, mac n cheese and sweet tea. The corn bread is light & cakey, but quite a treat. The fried chicken was good, but I... More

Amazing cornbread. Hefty portions. Good red velvet, they put walnuts on top which isn't common. Mac and cheese isn't earth shattering but it is good. The waffles though were great and you could tell they were freshly made. I had the Sunrise drink which has lemonade, orange juice and fruit punch to make a sunrise in a cup. It was... More

Gluttonously delicious. I really don't have anything bad to say about Amy Ruth's. I have eaten here twice now and each time, I leave dreaming about my next visit. There was a member of my party that is Gluten Free and there were not many choices but she was able to find something. This restaurant basically does fried chicken and... More
