Excellent food, service and price. Da Nico is a gem in Little Italy. Mike M., our server was very attentive. Great wine selection and the food superb. We ordered the pizza and is to die for. Happy atmosphere. Always busy. I recommend reservations. The prices and portions, perfect. Everything tastes fresh.

My son and I stopped in for dinner and are very happy we did. He had been here years ago and remembered how good it was. He said they make the best chicken parm he's ever had. I had the Veal Piccata and thought it was excellent. Will definitely go back.

The restaurant was a really great place to eat Italian food when visiting Little Italy in New York. The staff was very nice and had that Italian flare to them. The food was perfect and you may want to try the spaghetti carbonara of spaghetti vongole. The atmosphere was cozy and the wife and I had a great time. We... More

If visiting little Italy this is a good spot in Mulberry st. They have their own brick oven where pizzas are baked, great appetizers and drinks. Service also good. I tried the chicken cacciatore and caesar salad , generous portions and great dining patio in the back

Friendly service, good food, average prices for the area and quality of dining experience. I would probably try another restaurant next time-my calimari seemed a little undercooked and they kind of coax you in; I would have preferred to eat outside on a beautiful afternoon, it was pretty dark inside at lunchtime.

We had lunch here after our walk from Chinatown. We ordered pizza zucchini for $13 and fried calamari for $13. Price is ok comparable to italian restaurants in the Philippines. Food is very good!👍👍👍Definitely better than Itallianis. They serve free bread and butter and a free dessert that's also bread but it has confectioner sugar and its chewy. The place... More

Big portions if you have a big appetite but the food is nothing special and it's not especially cheap either. Service was fairly brusque. Nothing to write home about.

They had a rather nice garden in which we sat. Typical Italian food which was alright but not more. There were several waiters around the table but we didn't know who was responsible. They were not specially friendly and treated us like the tourists we were. There must be better places around.

My friends and I ate dinner at this restaurant a couple of weeks ago. The food was good and my poor review is not aimed at the kitchen in any way. The service: however, was average, a bit slow for a restaurant that was not very busy. In particular, when we were trying to find our server he was nowhere... More

I can't say enough. The food was just awesome. I'm not an Italian food guy, but I would eat here on a weekly basis if I lived here.

Enjoy traditional Northern and Southern Italian cuisine at Da Nico. The beautiful indoor dining room is a favorite among movie stars, New York Yankees and former Mayor Giuliani. The casual, family-friendly atmosphere welcomes you to dine on "The Best Coal Brick Oven Pizza," or one of the delicious items on the menu. Specialties include lobster fra diavolo, baby lamb chops and veal chops. Call for the day's specials. During the summer, Da Nico features a large outdoor garden which doubles its normal seating capacity. Da Nico is also available for your private parties. There are many keys to having a great dining experience. With that in mind, consider Da Nico the master locksmith of Little Italy!

Staying in Little Italy

Neighbourhood Profile
Little Italy
While Little Italy is one of the city's smallest neighbourhoods, its streets are packed with visitors from around the globe, especially on summer weekends when the streets are closed to traffic. Stroll up Mulberry Street, the heart of Little Italy, for a dense mix of Italian restaurants with sidewalk tables, cafes, and old-school food shops. Don’t be surprised when the hosts beckon you to pay them a visit. Stop in for a coffee and a cannoli, or grab a streetside table to take in the scenery over a hearty Italian meal.
