I enjoyed a wonderful meal of perfectly cooked dishes--scallop that melted in my mouth, Lamg cooked and seasoned delightfully. Wait and bus staff that catered to our wants and needs but did not hover. A manager who took us to the garden and took several...More

Thank you for a great evening, and thank you for an incredible meal. We loved our dinner and the service was on point. The little tables and cozy old carriage house-converted restaurant was perfect for a spring evening. When we visit NYC, we will try...More

This is a delightful place. Historic building and beautifully decorated. Very romantic setting. Service was excellent. Food was only average and that is not good enough for this price range. Bread was awful -- a dry dinner roll that would disappoint you in a diner....More

When you arrive you are wowed by the beautiful space. Historical building with low lighting and a fireplace in the bar. Beautiful dusty rose flower arrangements. The hostess was rather abrupt as she grabbed our coats and hats on a rainy night. Our waitress was...More

My husband celebrated a special birthday here with family members. The bar/lounge area had a warm fire going on a chilly, wet night it April that was very welcoming. Family members had planned a pre-set personally selected tasting menu for us that was unquestionably the...More

My review could be summed up in 2 words - very disappointing. The hubby and I have come to One If By Land several times over the past 15 years and it has always been consistently good. Now, it is run by children. The quality...More

West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the
West Village is one of the city’s most coveted
addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and
cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture,
this neighbourhood has a unique old-world feel. You
won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan.
Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to
get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you

I did not ask about that. I would imagine they do. The beef Wellington does have a nice crust that I don't believe could be done as well if gluten free. We live at home 90% gluten free but when out we choose to not focus... More

Hi, my name is bill i live on Barrow street. did you know that the new owners demolished the historic facade on July 3rd? they did so with out a building permit or landmarks approval. according to the NY Times that facade has remained unchanged since 1897. I hope you voice your disgust with the new owners and refuse to support them until they restore the original facade, thank You Bill

Bill, I live 200 miles away, visit NYC 4 - 6 times a year and was not aware. That is disgusting to destroy history like that. There are plenty of alternatives in NYC.
