Fun little place with great seafood. Cool neighborhood (West Village). Very friendly staff, casual atmosphere. A little on the pricey side - but it's NYC. They don't take Amex (but do take visa / MC) No reservations - but they turn tables pretty quickly -...More

Dropped by Pearl's on a in-law recommendation and took two seats at the bar waiting to be impressed. Classic west village, red brick setup, bar-come-restaurant, mixture of locals (majority) and out-of-towners (us!) and a simple menu of seafood. And as the name suggests, they specialise...More

We go to Pearl Oyster bar every time we're in NYC. I'm sure the entire menu is delicious but we can't get beyond the lobster roll and oysters on the half shell. The lobster roll is served on a buttery split bun. Be careful not...More

It had been a number of years but last Saturday night, the Pearl was as good, if not better than ever. Lobster is the main attraction and two of our number indulged - one broiled and one lobster roll. Each was excellent and the quantity...More

If you live in a state and lobster is not cheap or available but dreamed of it. This is the place your dream becomes true. We started with the mussels very fresh and tasty. The lobster roll comes in a soft roll that alone is...More

This is a popular place so we went early on a Saturday and got right in. Very fresh food in a "charming" location, the lobster roll was almost out shined by the shoestring french fries! It was all delicious. Also got the celery root slaw...More

Every time we visit New York we eat at Pearl - especially for my wife to have the lobster roll and shoestring fries - they are to die for! This time I had the New England clam chowder - only problem was that it wasn't...More

This is a really fun place. It is not large, and sometimes you will have to wait, but it is worth it. The seafood is fantastic; high quality and fresh. Sitting at the bar was really fun and would do it next time. (yes there...More

If you're looking for oysters in a small, intimate place with character of an old New York neighborhood, go to Pearl. The lobster roll came highly recommended by someone and it was definitely amazing. Went there before we went to the Blue Note a few...More

Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the

Description
Pearl Oyster Bar opened as a 21-seat Seafood restaurant in 1997 to extraordinary acclaim.
It was the first establishment in NYC to serve New England cuisine and popularized the lobster roll, never before served in New York. Pearl was also responsible for the upscale oyster bar trend and dining at the bar.
The restaurant expanded in 2003 and is considered a New York Classic. Celebrating our 20th anniversary in 2017.
