Went on a Saturday night. Had a reservation, but could have easily gotten a table without. Place is quite large. Easy walk from Battery Park or Stock Market. Pub type ambiance. Great history to the place. Our server wasn't very chatty- not rude, just not...More

Stopped in on a sunny Saturday afternoon and found the tavern hopping as always. A jazz trio playing, bar full, great atmosphere. I could have stayed all afternoon but I only had time for a couple of oyster stouts (amazing by the way). The Fraunces...More

Fraunces Tavern is an absolute must stop for good food as well as history. The food is outstanding served in a very casual atmosphere where George Washington addressed his farewell to generals at the close of the Revolutionary War. Our local New Yorkers had never...More

We spent an hour in the museum on the floors above the restaurant. The docent was very enthusiastic and amusing, definitely worth the visit even if you don't care that this is where Washington bid farewell to his officers. The filet on a stone comes...More

Very historical building and Bar. Welcoming staff prompt service with a smile too. The cocktails and beer excellent...great variety. The food comforting and filling. We had a great time. Atmosphere seemed to encourage conversations with our neighbors.

1. NYC historical must see, do take the tour. 2. They are known for the “Chicken pot pie” it was delicious. 3. Fish has to much coating and is very oily. 4. Lots of tours come here, it does get busy.

Took the family to dinner our last night in New York and was disappointed. Scotch egg was delicious but Caesar salad and fish and chips were lacking. If you are a historian buff and don’t mind overpaying for a mediocre meal then go for it.

Myself, my dad and my sister frequented this bar during our holiday recently. We mainly had drinks and on one occasion food. I have to say overall I loved this bar, it was comfortable and chilled. There was one incident with staff members that tainted...More

Had to stop in and have a drink where George Washington said good bye! Cool place with a huge beer and whiskey selection. Not so much for wine. Bartenders were very efficient and it was just a cool place to visit.
