Excellent little pizza joint.. can't go wrong. The lasagna pizza is unique and delish... It's heavy though so one slice is usually enough.

Let me give it to you straight up. I have gobbled up slices from one end of Manhattan to the other and NOTHING compares to Muzzarella (trashed or not trashed...and I've eaten here in both states). Their Lasagna pizza is the best. Not greasy, filling, sweet, and a HARD bottom crust...A truly perfect slice.

This is not good pizza, people. Please. Just because its your local joint don't give it a damn 5/5. I know, I've been here, and I'm local to this neighborhood. There is plenty of better pizza within easy walking distance.

Everyone has their own favourite New York Pizza place. I've got two. This one isn't just your regular slice place, it does really good focaccia pizza, and the Sicilian's great too. For a regular slice go to Sal's on 7th and A

Staying in East Village

Neighbourhood Profile
East Village
There’s still an independent vibe to the East Village, which offers plenty of unique small businesses catering to longtime New Yorkers and area college students alike. The East Village retains a bit of the old-time neighbourhood feel that you can still experience today thanks to a mix of locally-owned shops, cozy restaurants, and lively bars. The scale of the residential blocks makes this a wonderful place to wander up and down the streets searching for the newest hip spot, or an old-school favorite. In the center of the neighbourhood, Tompkins Square Park serves as a gathering point for the New Yorkers that call the East Village home. The people-watching here is hard to beat.
