We were initially going to have Sunday brunch at Red Rooster in Harlem, but the wait was ridiculous. Sylvia's is just down the street though and did not let down! Our wait was only 15 mins and we enjoyed the gospel music and lady coming...More

Thanks for stopping by during your time in Harlem! We're really happy to hear that you loved your chicken and ribs, and that the waffle situation didn't take too much of your time. Next time you're in our neck of the woods, come say hey!...More

Sylvia's is not what I class good southern food. The quality of the food was mediocre and I would be generous in saying that!!! I would say Harlem has much better to offer.More

Six of us went there and we sampled most of the menu--each dish comes with two sides!! I would recommend the black eyed peas, grilled shrimp and beef ribs. Food was very slow to come and the accompanying wine even slower which detracted from an...More

Had the fried chicken, Mac and cheese, yams and potato salad. It was okay. The chicken was really greasy and the potato salad didn’t have potato chunks it was more like mashed potato salad. The server was nice and the ambiance was good. The cornbread...More
