Third visit here and it's just gets better and better. An impeccable restaurant. We live 80 miles away and when we got into the city we go to Il Tinello. John the big boss runs a great operation. His crew is fantastic and you never feel rushed. The food is just amazing and as always,,, save room for the cheese... More

Stopped in for dinner after seeing Book of Mormon. The atmosphere is quiet and comfortable. The staff is excellent and attentive to all of your needs. The food matched the excellent service. Both my wife and I had veal dinners which were well portioned and flavorful. Our son (16) had the lamb osso bucco and he thought it was the... More

We started with insalata caprese and Bresaola and mu daughter and her friends had caesar salads prepared table side. Then my wife and I split the Taglierini il Tinello and she had the Dover Sole Fresca and me the the Red Snapper il Trentino. The girls all ordered 3 pasta dishes and shared. They loved it. Of course, we washed... More

The restaurant is classic Italian food in an elegant old school style . Around for only 26 years it carries with it a timeless fine dining atmosphere . Tables are well spaced with white linen and waiters dressed in formal attire .. Salads made to order table side and desserts made fresh in front of you set your senses alive... More

Our dinner group was in the city for day in town, and the restaurant came highly recommended as a good place for an Italian meal.

It is a small place tucked away on a side street and you might miss it. Don't ... The service is attentive, the decor quietly romantic and the food simply superb. The prices for the food are quite attractive also for Italian food of this level of excellence. My only complaint is the wine list is a small and most... More

A lovely, quiet and elegant ambiance to stir good conversation and a sense of well being, replete with extensive wine list, traditional Italian fare, and very attentive staff. A soothing respite from the hustle and bustle of NYC.

Every year for my wife's birthday we head into the city for a good broadway show and a well recommended fine Italian restaurant. This year we did "Dear Evan Hansen" and ll Tinello. Like others have said, we were greeted with a very warm smile from everyone that we crossed and the service and food was exceptional. I took the... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
