We had Lunch and two times Dinner during the last week and we enjoyed the food every time very much. Especially lunch is a good bargain, but you can't complain about the Dinner and the quality is outstanding. The only thing that needs to be improved is the wine list, but primarily we are here because of the great Sushi!... More

This small Japanese restaurant is an excellent choice. Very fresh, good sushi and other Japanese food. Many Japanese and other Asians often eat there regularly. An excellent value. 3 course lunch from $13 to $19 (including tax, excluding tip).

My companion and I sat at the sushi bar and he spoke fluent Japanese. He also knew one of the regular customers and let it be known. In any event, we ordered sushi/sashimi for two and it was delicious and plentiful (we couldn't finish the last piece) and extremely fresh. I was disappointed that uni or ikura were not included.

This small, authentic restaurant was quiet, relaxing, and the food was terrific. Very reasonably priced with some unique menu items and excellent service.

We stayed at The Lex NYC which is close to this restaurant. Interior and exterior are very simple but one look at the cook and you know enough. This is a real Japanese owned restaurant with descent prices. We ate here twice! The sashimi and the lobster miso soup are recommended.

This is one of the best Sushi restaurant you can find in NYC. It is a simple, non-sophisticated place with a few table and a little Sushi Bar and the Sushi is fresh and just great!!!

Owner is doing cooking. He was here for 20years. Character of his sushi is bit large "neta" for local customer. Neta(fish)is fresh and use good nori. Place is cosy and bright. Not like other newer sushi like restaurant. Place is more like tea room in Japan. Out side is very simple and bit old. But food is good.

A colleague of mine lead me here one evening, he's been eating here almost every week for 3 years. I've now added it to my "must visit" list when I'm visiting New York. It's not outstanding or somewhere to arrange your partners special birthday but it's friendly, not too expensive and reliable. The sushi is excellent and professionally prepared, a... More

Never judge a book by its cover nor restaurant food by the venue's looks or decor. Some of the best eats in NY City can be found in the most unlikely places. Take Mishima, an unpretentious sliver of a restaurant on a so-so block, just north of where Lexington Avenue becomes known as "Curry Hill" due to the multiplicity of... More

If you're looking for an amazing high energy lots of glitz this isn't it. What you will find is that the food is the star of the show. So if you are seeking a relaxing meal with outstanding quality food in a sub par atmosphere this is a gem! I really enjoyed our meal and saki. We had the spicy... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
