Spontaneous choice for lunch on the run and a fine choice. They created a steamed vegetable plate for me even though it was not a menu item. The sashimi lunch was very good, but nothing exceptional. The green salad that comes with the lunch was a bit skimpy, but overall, a nice place with attentive service and green tea without... More

Have been there many times. I live in Asia and this place rivals many sushi places people like where I live. If I am alone sit at the sushi counter and keep ordering. I used to live near it and miss it. Only here for a day but will check it out again. Everything is good!

We sat at the Sushi bar and enjoyed the collection of super fresh sushi and sashimi. They had a nice collection of available Saki's and did not rush you through your meal. We will come again for sure.

The food far exceeded the casual atmosphere of this mid town restaurant. The bento box was very good and allowed you to choose what items went into the box.

Ok do yourself a favor and eat at the sushi bar at this longstanding Murray Hill eatery. The food is really outstanding the service is great. We eat here about once a month.

There are many many Japanese restaurants in New York City but Mishima is my favorite. Very good sashimi.

I am absolutely shocked that other reviews don't place this as one of the best hidden gems in New York! I have been here over the past 2 years every time I come into the city and the food for lunch is unparalleled. the seafood and the sushi are awesome and the price is so reasonable for the quality that... It has a Japanese crowd customers. And it goes later than usual Japanese restaurant. Nice for "fast lamen" too. It is not worth a trip all the way to the east, but if you close, than it is a good option.

The quality of the fish here and the fine yet simple presentation is remarkable. Tonight they served fresh sea urchin and oysters. Both were sweet and flavorful. They serve a fatty tuna that is the best I've had in years

Never disappointed with Mishima. I have been coming back there for years as my favourite sushi spot in the city. I have had some wonderful sushi in my life across the world and this remains in my top three. Not cheap, but not overly expensive, and you get what you pay for. Fatty tuna melts in your mouth. Friendly staff... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
