We were tired of walking & two in our party wanted deli. This restaurant is across the street from the now closed (??!!???) famously excellent Carnegie Deli. At best this is mediocre food & service; at worst, it's hostile and stale. Carnegie's closing allows them...More

Looks ok from the outside, but staff not very friendly and although restaurant wasn't full crammed us in with other people to make it look busy from the outside. Food and presentation not great either, wife had the burger and cheese and the cheese was...More

We ended up here 3 times for breakfast, the breakfasts were good sized portions and there was a lot to choose from on the menu.

Lunch at Benash was worth the stop. We shared a large turkey and brie sandwich, and a huge slice of cheesecake for dessert. Beer and wine available. I would return.

Bring your appetite because these folks are generous. Our meal was very good and the server was friendly and accommodating. This was centrally located near our hotel and offered a wide variety of choices. Do yourself a favor and get the cheesecake!!! Yum!!

We decided to try breakfast across the street from the Wellington Hotel as the pastries in the window looked enticing. However, the looks were deceiving. We were seated and given menus, and were then promptly ignored. We selected what we wanted to order, then sat...More

Should have read the reviews. Felt like it was a tourist trap. $20 for a NY Deli sandwich. Wasnt anything that good. Rye bread tasted like a cheap store brand like Strohman. Cole slaw was weird, oily, and asian tasting. Just mediocre food.

Benash Delicatessen has been an NYC favorite for more than 15 years. Stop by for a drink or one of our famous corned beef sandwiches.
