There are more types of Pizza than days in the year. For me, thin crust with crunchy edges and fresh ingredients wins. If you fall into that category, take the time to stop by Lazzara's Pizza. You won't be disappointed.

We've had a girls trip to NYC for 3 years now, and this is always our first stop for lunch. It never disappoints! The thin crust pizza is delicious, salads are fresh and wine selection is great! It's doesn't look like much from the outside but once you go inside, you are transported to an old Italian dining room from... More

This is a very small restaurant with great pizza. We had a pizza for two of us. Thin crust, delicious pizza. We had pepperoni and onion. We also had their garlic bread which was excellent.

A group of six, we came upon this by using Siri after walking seven miles around New York on a November Saturday. Prices were quite reasonable, and service was spot on. One of us asked for a water, and six were brought to the table. Two bottles of wine, one Captain Morgan drink, a soda, two individual salads and one... More

Walked in off of the street and found fabulous Italian food. Pizza was outstanding and the pasta dishes were a big hit. Great spot.

Great great thin crust pizza, square pieces. But the location is horrible, so dark, almost no windows, feel like it's in a huge closet it's so shut-out from the outside world. Needs to be updated in the inside to be more inviting. With food that good, they should have a line! Perfect to order out!

We found this place on our last night in NYC when we were so tired, we just wanted a decent slice of pizza and to be able to sit down. Lazzara's was the perfect choice. If you didn't know to look for it, you could easily pass by. You'll walk up the stairs to the second floor of an old... More

Zero ambiance. But fantastic pizza, salad and inexpensive wine. Been coming here for 25 years. Near Times Square and Macy's. Hidden treasure. Go there with family. Then go to Health King on 35/7th for yogurt. Good for pre high line. Also available for delivery to Times Square hotels.

Climbing the stairs from the sidewalk to this pizza house was a bit like stepping back in time. At the top of the stairs things looked much the same. Lazarra’s opened back in 1985 and I’m sure the décor was highly fashionable back then. But I didn’t go to Lazarra’s for anything but great pizza, excellent service and welcoming attentive... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
