We looked at the menu on trip advisor and on the street and decided to try Thalia. Best choice of our trip! I'm a sushi phobe but ordered the Red Dragon Roll. Almost licked the plate! Then Branzino was on special which was VERY special. If you watch food network they talk about crispy skin and this skin was crispy!!!... More

Had a great table for people watching along 8th Avenue. The restaurant was one nick firm the Gershwin Theatre. I had a delicious burger and a complimentary mimosa. My friend had a great omelet with fruit. Prices were reasonable. I would definitely go back when I am in the area.

We were looking for dinner in Midtown and passed by Thalia's. We didn't have a reservation (it was early on Saturday) but we were immediately seated in the lounge area. We started with Spinach Artichoke dip which featured large pieces of artichoke. It was served with delicious garlic bread. My daughter and I shared two meals: Duxelle Mushroom Ravioli and... More

Great spot for a family taking in Wicked at the nearby Gershwin Theatre. We were a party of 6 and each person had a wonderful meal. The scallops were perfectly cooked, although the portion was small. The bronzino special was delicious, and the sushi divine. The teens enjoyed spaghetti, burgers and fries. The service was excellent and the knowledgeable. Please... More

Great place. I had tuna tartar and sushi. My husband had the tuna main dish. Every dish was fantastic. Fresh and interesting. We stopped at the bar pre-dinner. Great drink menu as well. Pre-show or just dinner. I recommend a visit to Thalia

Wanted a place close to theater before performance, so chose Thalia based on Trip Advisor reviews. We were able to get a reservation a few days in advance and were thrilled with our choice. Pork tenderloin tasty, roast chicken succulent. Beet salad was almost too pretty to eat, but not quite and delicious. Service was welcoming and attentive. It was... More

One of our group had eaten here before and recommended it. It is well worth the expense for a nice meal. I had the scallops over kale and a carrot puree'. It was cooked to perfection. It makes my mouth water just to think of it! All six in our party enjoyed the atmosphere and their meals. Our server was... More

Started off with the Blue Point mussels. First time I have had these and they were excellent. Everyone else in my table had the duck which they said was very good. I went for the skirt steak (med rare) and cooked to dam near perfect. The flavor was spot on. After a good bottle of the Tempranillo I finished it... More

this is our second time here and we were very satisfied with the food and service. the oyster bar has at least six choices and in the summer have an excellent happy hour on the street. The lobster bisque is very good and the scampi and pork. Had a very enjoyable evening. Service was great

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
