Had a great outside table on the corner and enjoyed the food, great weather and people watching! It felt like we were in a movie with the best view of all the street activity. We were there on a Tuesday evening so the crowds were...More

Had a wonderful experience in Little Italy. Gotta Azzurra sits on a corner which has a wonderful outdoor patio to sit and take in all the sights. Outstanding menu of authentic dishes and extensive wine list at reasonable prices.

The food here was amazing! Great service too. I had the bolognese, which was spectacular. Real Italian food too. It wasn't just a knock-off restaurant, there food was real and pure. Overall, it was a great experience.

DELICIOUS food and complimentary bread is awesome! Nice lunch menu and open late for dinner. Had the lunch menu eggplant parmigiana which was loaded with cheese with a Caesar salad...on the corner of Mulberry and Brooke.

Our group of six all enjoyed our meals. The menu is vast but I ordered the $19.95 two-course dinner. Each course has about 8 choices AND each course is a meal in itself. Very generous portions. Staff was very efficient. Food came out quickly. The...More

The dishes were very fat, all included cream cheese and cheap non Italian cheese. Waitress were ok but not Italian. The only good was the bread with butter. I really don't recommend this restaurant !!

While Little Italy is one of the city's smallest
neighbourhoods, its streets are packed with visitors
from around the globe, especially on summer weekends
when the streets are closed to traffic. Stroll up
Mulberry Street, the heart of Little Italy, for a
dense mix of Italian restaurants with sidewalk tables,

Description
Founded in 1908 by the Davino family Grotta Azzurra was named for the blue grotto on the isle of Capri and designed to evoke the beauty of one of the worlds most famous caves in the world, intensified. Enrico Caruso feasted here after performances, and Sinatra called it his one and only favorite Italian restaurant, making it the site of many a “Rat Pack” evening. Shuttered for six years, Grotta Azzurra has now been stunningly renovated and rebirthed by a descendant renaissance for dining in Little Italy, with multi-talented chef Frank Castellana recreating the finest in Italian Cuisine.
