Lunch on a busyThanksgiving weekend in NYC- we decided to walk past all the others in Little Italy and go to Puglias. I was last there 17 years ago. It still has family style seating. 4 of the 5 ofnus went for the prix fixed menu lunch special, garlic bread, soup or salad and a main course. Was it super... More

We traveled to NYC for the day on Saturday for shopping and just to hangout. We wanted to try some good authentic Italian dishes in Little Italy 🇮🇹.. We ended up here @ Puglia.. Our pizza 🍕 and veal parmigiana was no different than in York, Pa.. The brick oven pizza 🍕 was average. The place is dirty and the... More

Met here with a group of co-workers in town for team meeting. While we thoroughly enjoyed our time here I found the music was a bit too loud, The food was average but good. For a group dinner it was perfect for our needs. Our waiter was excellent. Food came out hot and fresh.

We had a great time dining at Puglia Italian Restaurant on our school tour. Our group consisted of 22 junior high students and 17 adults visiting NYC from Alaska. The entertainment was a little cheesy, but in the best way possible. The students got a real kick out of the Napkin Song and dancing on the chairs. Plus the family... More

Went for dinner (6 people) on Saturday before Halloween. The place was rocking with Halloween groups. Seating is at long tables and everyone was having a blast. The menu is very extensive and everything we had was excellent. The staff is very friendly and attentive. A duet provides musical entertainment during dinner. I recommend the Lobster Ravioli, the Chicken Parmigiana... More

Food is great and genuinely cooked Through place seems stuck in the 70s which makes a perfect setup for little Italy. It gives the sensation that time has stopped somewhere in the 70s.extreemly cheep prices buy great food.

Puglia's is a very good Italian restaurant. Food is very good. We had chicken parmesan, spaghetti, and ziti along with very tasty salad and garlic bread. Restaurant reminded me of the kind of Italian restaurant that you want to go back to, but never find with the franchised types.

Dined with friends at a new restaurant in Staten Island. Great entertainment , and food was good until got the bill. Most of the entrees on the menu were priced competitively, but some of us ordered a special filet of sole stuffed with crabmeat. When the bill came the price for one piece of stuffed sole was $46 dollars .... More

n 1919 Gregorio Garofalo came over from Italy to begin his American dream...
He rented a basement, put in his coal stoves, and sprinkled saw dust on the floor. With his knowledge of creating homemade wines, and his passion for cooking, Gregorio's dream began....

The name ..."Puglia" is a region in Southern Italy from which he immigrated.
People came from far to indulge in the delicacies Gregorio prepared; Capuzzello (sheepshead), Tripe (the lining of the stomach of a young ox), and Pasta E Fagioli (pasta and beans), but what they loved the most was the way he treated everyone like his own family.

Today with his 3rd generation carrying on the recipes and the values he taught them,
Gregorio is smiling....
All of us at Puglia thank you for making Gregorio's dream a reality.

Buona Sera

Staying in Little Italy

Neighbourhood Profile
Little Italy
While Little Italy is one of the city's smallest neighbourhoods, its streets are packed with visitors from around the globe, especially on summer weekends when the streets are closed to traffic. Stroll up Mulberry Street, the heart of Little Italy, for a dense mix of Italian restaurants with sidewalk tables, cafes, and old-school food shops. Don’t be surprised when the hosts beckon you to pay them a visit. Stop in for a coffee and a cannoli, or grab a streetside table to take in the scenery over a hearty Italian meal.
