We were with a bus group. The food was very good, especially the garlic bread! They were extremely organized and never kept us waiting. Very good restaurant in Manhattan.

You MUST get the stuffed artichoke!! The best I've ever had. Fresh hot bread and full bar to accommodate any taste. Had the Chicken Travolta and it was delicious. Service was a little on the slow side, but since we were in no rush, it...More

Went to feast in little Italy, had lunch at Puglia. The best stuffed artichoke ever! Eggplant & ravioli were very good also. Reasonable prices. Service was wonderful! Very friendly gentleman singing Italian songs! Perfect afternoon & lunch. Looking forward to go back.

Adding gratuity post tax??? It's almost illegal. I called them out on it and caught the waiter in a lie. They thought we were tourists, whom they regularly rip off, but they were surprised to see we were locals. We went and had so much...More

Enjoyed the rice ball angeline, almost like the Sicilian arnacine. We also feasted on the Little Italy style veal chops as well as the seafood 'Fra Diavolo'

Little Italy
While Little Italy is one of the city's smallest
neighbourhoods, its streets are packed with visitors
from around the globe, especially on summer weekends
when the streets are closed to traffic. Stroll up
Mulberry Street, the heart of Little Italy, for a
dense mix of Italian restaurants with sidewalk tables,
cafes, and old-school food shops. Don’t be surprised
when the hosts beckon you to pay them a visit. Stop in

n 1919 Gregorio Garofalo came over from Italy to begin his American dream...
He rented a basement, put in his coal stoves, and sprinkled saw dust on the floor. With his knowledge of creating homemade wines, and his passion for cooking, Gregorio's dream began....

The name ..."Puglia" is a region in Southern Italy from which he immigrated.
People came from far to indulge in the delicacies Gregorio prepared; Capuzzello (sheepshead), Tripe (the lining of the stomach of a young ox), and Pasta E Fagioli (pasta and beans), but what they loved the most was the way he treated everyone like his own family.

Today with his 3rd generation carrying on the recipes and the values he taught them,
Gregorio is smiling....
All of us at Puglia thank you for making Gregorio's dream a reality.

Buona Sera
