Came here to celebrate our daughter's birthday. I had the homemade gnocchi pesto (not quite as my Italian grandmothers, but still good), my husband had chicken Marsala (heavenly,), and my daughter had a different homemade pasta. Portions were a good size. Our waiter got the restaurant to sing Happy Birthday, and surprised her with a slice of NY cheesecake, which... More

I've been coming here for about 20 years for business. Walter at the bar is the best...great conversation and service. The Caprese appetizer is always great, as is the cold scungilli and calamari salad. This time, I had pork chops pizzaiola with lots of hot peppers...usually I get a chicken dish called Piacentina, which has eggplant and prosciutto. I honesty... More

To start I just walked in late afternoon to see the hours of serving. I said I would like to reserve a table. The owner asked me my name and said "you have a reservation. From there it continued to be a friendly family atmosphere, but the food was excellent and far above what you would expect at a "local".... More

Went old school with basic spaghetti bolognese and house Chianti. Everything was delicious and service was quick, efficient and super-friendly. Really reasonably priced as well..

Good food and nice old Italian setting and reasonable prices ... we ordered several dishes including clams casino, fried calamari, lobster Fra diavolo, pasta and sauce, chicken in some broth , and a grilled veal chop ... all was good and very good service... Bill was very reasonable ..

Went here off the back of trip advisor and it was good. Couple of surprises though. The place is very traditional (old style) but like my nonnas front room but in a good way. I like traditional Italian. It's also very relaxed and laid back, I was in a shirt and felt dressed up. We had a couple of drinks... More

My husband found this place online whilst on a quest for spaghetti and meatballs for my birthday dinner- I am so glad he found it! We were there on a Tuesday night and it was relatively quiet. We had the cold antipasto, I had spaghetti and meatballs and he had baked ziti. It was the best meatballs I've ever had!... More

For decades lawyers, judges and folks who actually earn an honest living tumbled into Forlini's. While your can bank on the red sauce regularity of some of its Neapolitan classics, I found it in general, a bit long in the tooth. Yes, one can feel like you're in a Donny Brasco scene, but frankly if you want a movie experience... More

The restaurant is located between China Town and Little Itally. We loved the restaurant and the food was delicious. The owner or manager was very friendly.

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown
Bursting with an amazing array of sights, sounds, and smells on every block, a visit to Chinatown feels like entering a different world. It’s a colorful spectacle that gets even more crowded on weekends, when families stream in to enjoy huge dim sum feasts and to stock up at the markets on Mott Street. To take a break from the buzz, grab something sweet from one of the many bakeries in the area and head to Columbus Park, where many Chinatown residents exercise, play games, and chat the day away.
