I make it a habit to grab dinner here before hopping on Amtrak; it's a tradition I look forward to. There are great options for meat-eaters and vegetarians. The food is fresh and there are many healthy options -- and so yummy!

The hummus in our meal had gone bad. Unfortunately we had ordered to go and were far from the restaurant to complain about giving us expired hummus. We were glad to find a healthy vegan option but unfortunately all the "healthy" goes south when they give you expired food. Will not be coming back.

Very pleasant, smart staff. This restaurant had very healthy meal options which were all baked, high fiber, rich in antioxidants and tasty while preserving variety. An excellent alternative to fast food while not compromising taste.

You can taste the freshness in every bite, and the flavours are great. Even the vegetarian options are fulfilling! Highly recommended fast food!

I decided to step outside of my comfort zone and give this restaurant a try. I ordered a pocket (pita) sandwich with roasted red pepper hummus, chicken, and veggies. While it wasn't bad at all, I don't think I would do it again...it's just not my taste. The restaurant was clean and fast which is a plus at lunch time!... More

I guess I'm just not a huge fan of Mediterranean food...ordered a stuffed pita looking thing with falafel, hummus, rice, chicken and cheese. Now, they charged me extra for the cheese even though the setup was like a Subway. It was ok but the taste was just too strong and I think I should have gone to Chipotle down the... More

I will give it props for having very fast service, and they do give you a decent amount of food. Baked falafals, however healthy they are, tasted dry. The "slow-cooked chicken" was also dry, and a bit too peppery. Major props goes to the cous-cous salad, the whole-wheat pita that's included, and the Hummas. I think if I go again,... More

Ok so I LOVE Falafel but I am trying to be on a health kick and I am avoiding any and all fried foods. SO, I was starving after the gym and I went here to check it out as I have never been. I got a plain hummus platter with grilled """Turkey Kebab"""". The hummus was OK, I did... More

Staying in East Village

Neighbourhood Profile
East Village
There’s still an independent vibe to the East Village, which offers plenty of unique small businesses catering to longtime New Yorkers and area college students alike. The East Village retains a bit of the old-time neighbourhood feel that you can still experience today thanks to a mix of locally-owned shops, cozy restaurants, and lively bars. The scale of the residential blocks makes this a wonderful place to wander up and down the streets searching for the newest hip spot, or an old-school favorite. In the center of the neighbourhood, Tompkins Square Park serves as a gathering point for the New Yorkers that call the East Village home. The people-watching here is hard to beat.
