We have been dining at this icon of Danny Meyer's empire almost since it opened. The dining experiences have been for the most part uniformly excellent. So this makes it doubly painful to share our experience there this past weekend, trying to offer constructive criticism....More

This place has the excellent food and service you'd expect of a fine dining restaurant but in a casual atmosphere. Really enjoyed the menu. Expensive but reasonable for what you get especially when you don't tip.

I've eaten at Gramercy Tavern multiple times and it is consistently excellent. The food, wine, service and décor are first rate, every time. Our server was especially good - recommending the best food/wine pairings. Nice 3 course menu for the holiday season.

There is nothing that could have been better about our experience. We were seated immediately upon arrival, had an attentive and knowledgeable waiter and the food was unreal. We did the 3-course dinner and the portions were perfect. You are also given a starter bite,...More

One of the best places I’ve visited in New York. Everything from food to service was extraordinary. Highly recommended spot for any occasion. I go back home after a commendable last meal.

New York has many choices for dining and that also makes it difficult to decide where to go. Of the many places Gramercy Tavern is a safe choice. Has been around for about 25 years and still going on strong. Service is professional and pleasant....More

Pretty tough to get a reservation here in the Dining Room (weekend anyway), but it's worth the effort. Service is overall pretty flawless. Very friendly and seemingly effortless. Like being in someone's home. A lot of times restaurants will try to crank you through to...More

One of America’s most beloved restaurants, Gramercy Tavern has welcomed guests for close to two decades to enjoy seasonal American cuisine, warm hospitality and unparalleled service. The restaurant is perennially ranked at the top of Zagat Survey’s ‘Most Popular’ list, and has garnered eight James Beard Awards including ‘Outstanding Restaurant’ and ‘Best Chef: NYC’. Chef Michael Anthony’s highly seasonal menu consists of elegant dishes with a rustic influence that showcase the restaurant’s relationships with local farms and purveyors. The Main Dining Room serves prix-fixe menus starting at $92 for dinner and an a la carte menu for lunch, and accepts reservations 28 days in advance. The more casual Tavern serves an a la carte menu centered around the wood burning grill, and welcomes guests on a walk-in basis. The restaurant also features an acclaimed wine list, and thoughtfully selected beer and cocktail offerings.
