Great atmosphere in this faux-Parisian brasserie. Even the waiter reminded me of Paris. (Ugh, is that not a compliment? Sorry, did not mean it this way.) The traditional French food (eg, duck confit) was great and the more Americanized fare (burger) was fine, too. Pricey...More

Don't go here expecting the best food in the world and you will leave happy. The Ambiance and service is why people go here. This is a charming old style restaurant with dark woods and soft lighting, and cozy atmosphere. The FOOD is good, not...More

A quiet Waverly Inn dinner with my son on a lovely NY winter night --- what a perfect mix. Place is so cozy, the food always to look forward to, staff so friendly and accommodating. The Waverly Burger is a must try, of course with...More

Went on 1/4/18, the SNOW DAY in NYC. Had no intention of going there, but it was close to where we were staying, so we were able to walk there. PERFECT for that type of day, excellent bar with a great bartender, and good comfort...More

The food is ok but nothing to shout about the bread is the best thing that’s not on the menu. If the seating wasn’t so cramped it would get more stars from me but they sit you so close to other people I found myself...More

Was recommended Waverly as a cosy place to have dinner. The place is jammed and seats close to each other but overall Ok-ish. Service is very fast though our waiter was a bit unclear in his explanations so we gave him the benefit of doubt....More

This is a beautiful restaurant—low ceilings, intimate (but not crowded) tables, murals on the walls, and a garden open in summer and covered in winter. The food is fine, but nothing special: straightforward fish and meat. And it is expensive.

"Total disappointment" are the words I have to use to talk about this old restaurant in the heart of the West Village in NYC. I went there the other night for diner after 24 years. The last time I had been there was for a...More

The service was a disaster. We have been placed close to the plastic window where we have been frozen immediately. Our table was so closed to the other table that both the chair of my neighbour and mine could not move unless one of each...More

I stopped here for a drink, and it was dark and cozy and relaxed. The menu looked good, but I just wanted a little snack and every dish seemed elaborate (but creative). The service was good, and we managed to find a seat at a...More

West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the
West Village is one of the city’s most coveted
addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and
cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture,
this neighbourhood has a unique old-world feel. You
won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan.
Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to
get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you
