I️ have been coming here for years and the food has always been great. I️ never expect good service (they’re incredibly inattentive and could care less about you) but the food has always made up for it. Recently they have changed it so that the...More

The food was excellent, reasonably priced, and the best I've had since my visit to Ethiopia. The actual restaurant was small and crowded, and the service left something to be desired, but it didn't even matter.

What this tiny restaurant lacks in decor and ambiance they more than make up for in good food and service. The restaurant is below the street, in a narrow room -- you shouldn't go there for the view. But, the staff that work there are...More

As a vegetarian, there were plenty of options for me on the menu. I ordered the dish that gives you a sample of the various vegetarian dishes. It was delicious. The food comes on top of a bread that is unique and wonderful.

My first visit to this restaurant, and my first time trying Ethiopian-- it's one of those blink-and-you'll-walk-right-by places, but I'm so glad we picked it for lunch. I never knew Ethiopian food was so delicious! We tried a dish called "Doro Wat": chicken leg seasoned...More

I love their food even though the portions have become much smaller. Very tasty. I have not had anything I don't like except lamb which I don't eat. I think that's off the menu now. Combos (meat or veg) are a great way to get...More

The food was very different from what I usually have. The food is cheap and the waiter will ask you whether you want to share your food with others. Tried the vegetarian dishes. Must try

Dinner with my SO. We had a full meal with a variety of vegetarian entrees. Ethiopian food has a unique flavor and always seems to have an acidic aftertaste. The bread is a critical part of the experience. I though it was good though the...More

We stumbled upon here looking for Jazz in the Village. A new experience and very good food. We got the vegetarian combo and the chicken dish. You get a big piece of what looks like a large crepes and eat with your fingers. Try it!!

Been eating here for years and have gone up and down with them depending on the chef! Right now I'm loving it. Great flavors, so delicious and spicy without being overly hot. Meat or veg combo is a great deal and way to check more...More

Commonly known as “the Village” to New Yorkers, it was
here in Greenwich Village that both 1960’s counter
culture and the LGBT movement were born. Famous for
its bohemian past, head to Washington Square Park to
