We've been to Crispo over a dozen times and have never been disappointed. The food is always outstanding. The service is always excellent. Our favorites are the zucchini flowers (always in season at Crispo)and arancini for appetizers and any of the macaroni dishes and fresh fish for entrées. The back room is the place you want to be with water... More

To be clear, Crispo deserves 3 1/2 stars. It is above average. It is a very large space. It has a front sitting area and a large, high ceilinged back area. It is dimly lit so be sure to bring your phone to read the menu. The menu is quite extensive. I think even the most picky eaters will find... More

Enjoyed a delicious dinner last night at Crispo's in the West Village. Very easily accessible on 14th St. My friend had lamb; I had Crispo's signature carbonara. Both delicious with the pasta perfectly cooked and beautiful blend of flavors. We shared a raspberry chocolate dessert. Yummy! Anthony, the manager, made us feel like VIPs. All of the staff were attentive... More

We loved our dinner and would come back again when visiting New York. Our appetizers were delicious and I really enjoyed my Branzino entrée. My son loved his pasta. Service was efficient and friendly.

Stopped in for dinner before a Broadway show; we were seated promptly at our reservation time. We let them know of our time crunch and we were taken care of very quickly. All of our meals were excellent. I had a seared Branzino Almondine with brussel sprouts which was great; my daughter loved the butternut squash ravioli, and my wife... More

I work in Manhattan, so my wife took the train in from the island to meet me for an early dinner. She had eaten here once before with a friend and said it wasn't bad. So I said fine. We were brought 4 slices of bread that looked like they were in some type of bed pan. No basket, dinner... More

This Italian restaurant is wonderful: the food, from antipasti and salads over scallops, Pappardelle Lobster (highly recommended) and Surf and Turf to the cheesecake and the chocolate pot & creme brulee (highly recommended), is delicious. The wine selection is excellent and not overpriced. The service is impeccable. The atmosphere is warm and cozy. It does get very full but still... More

We had a lovely dinner party for my best friend at Crispo almost 2 weeks ago. When we arrived we were warmly welcomed and our coats were checked by the door. We were then taken to our table which was in the garden area which I highly recommend being seated. We had a pre-set menu which offered 4 different appetizers... More

Amazing meal from A to Z. Reasonably priced for fine dining in NYC. Plan ahead to reserve cozy circular booth for ultimate family and friends dining experience in NYC. Save room for dessert: Italian cheesecake and zepoles.

Description
Chef and owner Frank Crispo opened Crispo Restaurant in the heart of Chelsea and the West Village in the summer of 2002. Our 150 seats create a lively, warm and friendly atmosphere where you can enjoy our signature Northern Italian cuisine. We were nominated in 2002 for "Best New Restaurant" by Time Out magazine, and received an award for "Best Spaghetti Carbonara" by New York Magazine in 2004. Food is not our only passion. Our extensive wine list covers the major regions of Italy and several other countries beyond. For enthusiasts, we have a full bar stocked with grappa, amaros, aperitifs and digestifs. Come join us for dinner in our main dining room, or in our outdoor garden space. It remains open year long. With this newest addition to Crispo Restaurant you will truly feel like you are not in New York.

Staying in West Village

Neighbourhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighbourhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
