A friend recommended this spot and we had brunch here. It was a very cute place with good food. The service gave our food to the wrong table which was a bit inconvenient, and the service was slow overall, but the food itself was good.

this place has to be one of the best in the village, great location, fixtures and fittings and staff whats not to like. Excellent selection of drinks and nice menu, personally i love just sitting at the bar and relaxing in the great ambient atmosphere.

Good choice for Brunch on the weekends. Eaten there twice now and the food is good. It was Labor Day weekend and it wasn't busy, so we were able to sit, talk and relax.

We booked trough internet a table for four people. Then we phone in the afternoon to be sure that they have taken the reservation. We have been told that was all right. So....we finally got there and we asked again just to be sure that...More

They squeeze tables close together to fit the maximum number of people, but you end up hearing everyone else's conversations and not much of your own. But the food is good, so it is worth it.

Lots of charm and originality and a very friendly staff. Although we ate rather simple fare, it was quite fresh and tasty and at reasonable prices. The sidewalk terrace made for a dog friendly experience for us, which is not always easy to find in...More

This place represents the artistic spirit of New York in many ways. As a restaurant the food is consistently good, as a performance venue is a mix bag in which you could be amazed or not depending on your taste of the varieties of arts...More

I’ve been coming here for over 25 years, I come a couple of times during each of my trips to NYC, adore the place, great food, drink, location and nice service. Can’t wait until my next trip.

This is an authentic old style cafe. Sidewalk flow into `porch' seating as well as indoor. We went for the seafood selections, which were fresh and perfectly prepared. There is an excellent wine list, or a full bar for socializing.

Description
In 1987, on its tenth anniversary, New York City proclaimed Cornelia Street Cafe "A CULINARY AS WELL AS A CULTURAL LANDMARK." Founded by three artists, it provides food for the soul as well as the body. Upstairs there are three dining rooms, a beautiful hundred-year-old oak bar, a sidewalk cafe on one of New York's most picturesque streets, and a wood-burning fireplace for the winter. The cafe has received numerous awards for its food: Time Out's TOP 100 RESTAURANTS; the Village Voice's BEST OF NEW YORK FOOD; and a special award from the Village Arts Society for INSPIRED CUISINE. Most recently it received the Waterford Crystal Award of Distinction for BEST BY-THE-GLASS WINE PROGRAM--there are more than thirty wines available by the glass. Downstairs (honored with Zagat Nightlife's Award of Distinction) there are more than 700 performances a year. RESERVATIONS ARE FOR DINING UPSTAIRS. RESERVATIONS FOR THE DOWNSTAIRS CABARET CANNOT BE MADE ONLINE.
