Go for the food, go for the conversation. Friendly service at a charming place in West Village. If you’re in the area for any reason a morning brunch is worth it. Take time for a drink at the bar and some free local advise.

Been coming here for decades and it's consistently had the best burgers around for sure! Great beer selection too, and some pretty upscale food, but seriously... those burgers! There are also live performances of a variety of things from music to storytelling in their cozy...More

When i pointed out two out of three items I ordered were billed higher than the prices in the menu, they changed it, but the process was so painful, and didn't get the sense they recognized as their fault. And the waiter told me he...More

Brunch was good. The quiche was excellent. Bloody Mary was homemade with fresh tomato juice and fresh grated ginger. Eggs Benedict needs more hollandaise.

Went for lunch midweek. Fairly busy for an off the beat Greenwich location. Nothing fancy about the decor, but pleasant. Wonderfully attentive service that managed to do everything just right. Efficient and helpful without being overbearing. I had the Challah BLT and it was amazing....More

West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the
West Village is one of the city’s most coveted
addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and
cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture,
this neighbourhood has a unique old-world feel. You
won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan.
Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to
get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you

In 1987, on its tenth anniversary, New York City proclaimed Cornelia Street Cafe "A CULINARY AS WELL AS A CULTURAL LANDMARK." Founded by three artists, it provides food for the soul as well as the body. Upstairs there are three dining rooms, a beautiful hundred-year-old oak bar, a sidewalk cafe on one of New York's most picturesque streets, and a wood-burning fireplace for the winter. The cafe has received numerous awards for its food: Time Out's TOP 100 RESTAURANTS; the Village Voice's BEST OF NEW YORK FOOD; and a special award from the Village Arts Society for INSPIRED CUISINE. Most recently it received the Waterford Crystal Award of Distinction for BEST BY-THE-GLASS WINE PROGRAM--there are more than thirty wines available by the glass. Downstairs (honored with Zagat Nightlife's Award of Distinction) there are more than 700 performances a year. RESERVATIONS ARE FOR DINING UPSTAIRS. RESERVATIONS FOR THE DOWNSTAIRS CABARET CANNOT BE MADE ONLINE.
