I've eaten here many times over the last 30 years and given it wonderful reviews in the past. But last nights dinner was awful. The food was tasteless. My husband had the garlic chicken which was bland. My sons chicken Sevilla was basically chicken Marsala...More

We were recommended to this restaurant in Greenwich Village,by the hotel and at first impressions were good. A bustling place obviously popular with the locals. We booked ,the four of us, for 7.30 but by 8.30 we were getting tetchy. When we did get seated we...More

So a cold, wet, miserable tramp around the village and we decide to dart in here at lunchtime for snack and wine to keep our spirits up. I think it must have been because we only ordered tapas sort of portions, or maybe the guy...More

I'd say that the paella was not even average. It was served in a pot, not in a paella pan. It was a bit soupy not with the crispy bottom of traditional Valencian paella. The seafood was fine but not great. The salad had way...More

What's nice about this spanish restaurant is that it's been in the same family for generations, and the decor is very warm. The food is not above average though, and the portion sizes are way too big. Friendly service, but not the fastest.

This restaurant is resting on its laurels. An old man greeted us and then went back to his stool and promptly fell asleep in a noisy restaurant on a Saturday night. Time for retirement? Absolutely rubbish service. An old guy with a moustache hiding a...More

As old school as it gets. You feel like you are in the 1950s NY. Noisy, crowded and festive scene. Food is ok, nothing memorable. Was probably awesome in 1965 but not up to today's top restaurant standards. Nevertheless, a fun night and would return...More

Don't go there!!! Worst place to go. The food, the service and the ambiance are bad. The food was slung unto the table, the waiter didn't even know the difference between white or red wine. The chicken tasted like rubber, the gravy sloppy, the shrimps...More

West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the
West Village is one of the city’s most coveted
addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and
cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture,
this neighbourhood has a unique old-world feel. You
won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan.
Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to
get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you

I agree with the other who have posted here. The prices are very reasonable and the portion sizes seem to be on the large size.
