I just wish I had read these reviews before going. The food took 60 min to arrive and then the waiter said the main course I had ordered wasn’t available! That would have been helpful to know when I ordered. The wait staff blamed it...More

So I have just left Ghandi Cafe on Bleecker Street in New York and felt compelled to publish a review in the hopes of saving others from having to experience the sort of dining experience I have just endured. Let’s start with the decor. If...More

Ordered an appetiser, a tandoori dish, and one meat and one vegetable curry. Maybe my mistake was getting food to go rather than eating in the restaurant, but everything ordered, except the samosa, was disgusting and discarded after one mouthful, a massive waste of money....More

We've eaten here many times and find that Ghandi is consistently good, with a complete menu, and (still) reasonable prices. And its easy to get to!

On the hunt for some food beyond the typical Americana, stumbled upon the Cafe. Small place that feels as if you are on a train car. Great food. Had the veggie samosas, palak ponier, and a Mango lassi. The team here was generous with a...More

Very subtle and delicious, compared some of the more heavy handed places. The vindaloo has fire but flavor, the tikka masala was delicate and not overly thick and rich as so many are. And the prices are quite reasonable.

This was a delivery order so not in store. But, I live in the neighborhood. I got an argumentative order taker who was not pleasant. When I called back to ask 45 minutes later where the order was he bruskly told me that it was...More

So I ordered the onion bahji which was what earned the extra star it was decent. I also ordered the tandoori mixed grill which had bone splinters throughout one of which embedded in my gum. I ordered the mixed biryani which was awful, there is...More

In total a very nice little restaurant absolutely worth a visit. The chicken korma is very good. The prices are moderate 15$ a menu which fills you good. And the stuff is friendly.l

West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the
West Village is one of the city’s most coveted
addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and
cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture,
this neighbourhood has a unique old-world feel. You
won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan.
Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to
get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you
