Thoroughly enjoyed my dinner. Absolutely delicious mussels and the fusilli with pesto was excellent as well. They nicely adjusted my pasta to a half order, as the portions are very generous. I would definitely recommend this if you are in this area or staying at any of the hotels around here. Very authentic Italian meal!

My wife and I stayed in TriBeCa for the weekend and went to Pepolino based on the recommendation of the concierge at the Sheraton (Aldo a good place to stay). They have out door tables and the weather was a little iffy so we went inside. The first floor was almost full and the host said I have a table... More

Based on the Tripadvisor reviews, we gave this a try and were thoroughly pleased. It was probably our best NYC dining experience during out visit. The food is outstanding, the service is excellent, and the ambiance is lovely. Both their house pinot grigio and chardonnay by the glass were very good.We will definite return on our next visit.

Must stop here! Saturday afternoon 1 pm I got off the c train on Canal St. Going down Canal St. I looked to my right and little lights called my attention. 4 young men were managing Pepolino that day. Junyor headed the quarteto. Sweet hearts. We had the Antipasto Toscana platter of cheese and coldcuts and a bottle of Pinot... More

We had a nice table with view on freedom tower. Food was ok. Nothing special. But we had to wait long time for service and they were very abrupt. The bill contained 20% gratiuty already (terrible to do this!). As we were not satisfied I decided to give and sign for 10% (already too much). They charged my credit card... More

Fantastic authentic Northern Italian food. Wonderful homemade pastas and salads as well as meat and vegetarian options. We received an amazing tomato flan to spread on the rustic bread. It was a bursting with fresh tomato and basil flavor and finished with a bit of spice. Our pastas were delicious and we finished with the best orange flavored creme brûlée... More

We picked a random neighborhood in the city, parked the car, pulled out TripAdvisor and found the best Italian restaurant nearby. We sat upstairs which was slightly rustic, charming and relaxing. Service good. We chose what we wanted and when we heard the specials we got the antipasto, then adjusted dinner and finally the creme Carmel which was out of... More

Highly recommend this lovely little Italian in Tribeca, attentive and friendly staff and delicious food. We had the two specials that day the spinach and ricotta ravioli and the sausage risotto both very tasty and good quality meat. Great service!

Our hotel recommended we go here for a good Italian meal. It was exactly what we were looking for! A quaint place, excellent service and fabulous food. What more can you want?! Our server was one of the best we've had. Homemade pasta was to die for. We could hardly decide what to order, everything looked so good! Dessert was... More

Staying in TriBeCa

Neighbourhood Profile
TriBeCa
What’s in a name? In this case it is the unique title of “Triangle Below Canal Street” that became a popular nickname in the 1970s. An attractive neighbourhood filled with handsome lofts on the edge of the Financial District, this lovely slice of Manhattan offers plenty of fine dining experiences and art galleries. Plus, it’s home to the city’s most exciting film event, the Tribeca Film Festival, that takes place here every year. TriBeCa is a great place to take a leisurely stroll before stopping into one of the many local restaurants or bars for a satisfying meal and cocktail. You’ll see families out for an afternoon walk, and don’t be surprised to come up with the occasional celebrity sighting. With such a great vibe, many of the city’s most famous residents call this neighbourhood home.
