Just excellent gelato...great variety of flavors...we had mocha chocolate chip, dulce de leche and dulce de leche with chips--super! Cones also has many flavors of sorbet.

After having the worst ever ice cream ever at Grom, we realized THIS was the place to be - the best artisanal ice cream. Cool flavors like corn, dulce de leche with chips, - first rate. Skip grom and come right here.

Limited sitting and no table service but this place is great for a walk by...they have all the standards and plenty of special flavors...very clean looking and the staff is friendly...Bottom line the ice cream is very good...which is the only reason to visit anyway.

Cones is a New York institution. Even in the dead of winter you see a steady flow of ice cream aficionados (locals, tourists, celebrities, politicians) stopping in for their must-have frozen fix. What you’ll notice right away is Cones offers really neat flavors you simply can’t get anywhere else (Dulce de Leche, Sweet Potato & Brie, Corn, Cinnamon Honey, etc,... More

Skip the other frozen dairy imitators on Bleecker and head right for here. Cones has been serving premium desserts for years and they are still the best.

Got the almond cream, which was delicious. It was sweet without being overpowering, and the ice cream was so rich and smooth.

The cafe mocha chip was like regular coffee on steroids, incredibly intense with layers of flavor. The ginger was subtle, nuanced and had great ginger flavor. See my review for Grom - just down the street if you are trying to decide between the two places for a cold dessert.

The homemade taste is hard to beat and the light, full bodied flavors have an Italian gelato touch. Simply sensational!!

As the selection of boutique icecream shops in the village increases and the price per scoop skyrockets, this shop is a steady, consistent performer with a large set of choices. My husband had corn with cinnamon - that alone is worth the visit. I had lime- tart but on a hot day refreshing. My daughter had chocolate- the plainest they... More

Choosing a flavor (or two) was difficult. I sampled some interesting flavors, including Sweet Potato and Brie. I went with a scoop of corn and a scoop of watermelon. Outstanding! Perfect dessert!

Staying in West Village

Neighbourhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighbourhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
