If you imagine a small, quirky restaurant with really tasty food and friendly service, would you think you were in the West Village? Over the last 15 years, we have enjoyed our occasional forays to Le Gigot. Our most recent experience was excellent. My simply...More

I did not expect to find a French restaurant in New York up to the standard of a French restaurant in France but at least given the high price that we paid, I expected at least better quality and better portions.

Had lunch here. My first time. Warmly greeted and seated in a small 12 table restaurant. Nice menu with lots of choices. On this day that had crab cakes and soft shelled crabs. My lunch companion and I had a combination plate with a crab...More

This was the second time we've been able to enjoy dinner at this restaurant. It's very small, so we enjoy the intimacy of the space. Everything that we ordered was just as good as the first time that we dined here. I would recommend the...More

Could not have been more pleasantly surprised. Found this charming little place on the internet. It was as good as the reviews and then some. Duck confit was cooked to perfection. Crab cakes were delicious and good wine reasonably priced.

This is a bustling French cafe that was absolutely delightful. We had bouillabaisse, duck confit, beef bourguignon, and a braised lamb stew. With the meal, we had a very nice bottle of chateauneuf du Pape that was reasonably priced. The service was professional and attentive.

Tucked away on a side street off Bleeker is a tiny French bistro that is one of the best French restaurants any where in America. Yes, it is that good. The menu is relatively small, (one side of a single sheet). The other side is...More

A small french bistro with very nice food and service. I recommend both the Gigot d'Agneau and the Duck Condit.

What a treat! Dined at Le Gigot for the first but not the last time. This restaurant was like a quick trip to France. The restaurant is small but intimate - the quintessential bistro. The service could not have been better. It was attentive but...More

We loved our dinner! My wife and I both had the lamb special. It was perfectly cooked and seasoned. I started with an equally delicious tomato soup. Even the accompanying bread and fresh butter was special. The restaurant is cozy and has the traditional Parisian...More

West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the
West Village is one of the city’s most coveted
addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and
cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture,
this neighbourhood has a unique old-world feel. You
won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan.
Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to
get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you

Serving Provencal cuisine. Purity of ingredients and simplicity of preparation distinguish our specialties. Seasonal dishes are always introduced. A petite zinc bar, banquettes and floral arrangements foster a warm cozy ambiance, and an attentive staff ensures a customers' comfort and satisfaction.
