On the Northern edge of NYC's Greenwich Village is one of those good old standbys that a pal reminds one of, that doesn't disappoint. Standard Bistrot fare casually but professionally served, a large open dining area where tables are not jammed together,a grown up crowd...More

Nice ambience, live jazz, inviting dining room, but terrible food. Rack of lamb had clearly been through the microwave - medium rare was pink on one side but completely gray/brown on the other, dry and tasteless. Halibut was dry as a bone with a lot...More

A very popular neighborhood French restaurant by NYU near Union Square, this large but packed restaurant with a long bar can be pretty full and noisy but the food is quite delicious, the wine and drinks list large and a staff that is a bit...More

Café Loup is rather a bar than a café. Service and guests seem to be there forever and create an atmosphere that feels like coming home away from home. It's this living room feeling that makes café soup so pleasant. Sometimes you'll find really good...More

We shared the fried oyster appetizer: lots of breading, but at least they weren’t over cooked. The same could not be said for my entree, the Arctic char, which was over cooked. The accompanying vegetables — cauliflower, string beans, and Brussels sprouts, were cooked well,...More

Love trying different restaurants and found this easy to get to from where we were staying on 14th St. Staff were friendly and very helpful and food was excellant. Enjoyed pasta and lovely coffee!

I was recently at this restaurant for a Sunday brunch and I have to say, the food was excellent. The food coupled by an excellent Jazz trio is all that was needed to make it an amazing brunch experience.

Had a gathering of the women in the family here and really enjoyed the ambience and the food especially the fish and vegetarian dishes. The waiting staff were very attentive even though the restaurant had a busy crowd for a Wednesday evening.

Great place when you want to experience some French plates. The service is great and very helpful. The selection of beer is excellent as you can find some top Trappist beers (aren't they all?). Wine list is also very respectable.

There aren't too many French bistro's left in NYC, and Café Loup is a delightful spot. The food is very good, the service is very friendly and while the prices aren't cheap, they're reasonable. Other than the good food, things I like about this place...More

West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the
West Village is one of the city’s most coveted
addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and
cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture,
this neighbourhood has a unique old-world feel. You
won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan.
Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to
get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you
