We were recommended to Ethos by a friend. We found the food good, although I ordered Branzino and found too many fish bones that had not been properly removed. Our server had a who cares attitude, never checked back with us to check on each course and was slow to remove soiled plates. Ethos is very noisy, so if you... More

My wife and I had a wonderful experience. The food tasted as good as the food in Athens, Greece and the service was excellent!! Highly recommend this restaurant for a nice dinner and glass of wine!

I stayed at the bar, initialing sipping a beer and then having some starters to eat . I had grilled octopus and fish-balls and they both were perfectly cooked and tasty . The bartender was attentive but not intrusive . The venue reminded me a bit of a beach restaurant, a nice feeling given that cool weather . I definitely... More

First time at Ethos, and worth the visit. The folks serving the table and managing the restaurant were very friendly and hospitable. Three of us had numerous mezze, including Pikilia - a combination of tarama, melitzanosalata, spicy feta, humus and tzatziki; really good calamari, delicious scallops, and very good mussels. We then had swordfish, lamb, and salad. For wines we... More

The food at Ethos is pretty good, and the room has an airy, "beach" feel. However, the prices are a bit high and the service is passive/aggressive. Timing of food is uneven, and some dishes arrive late -- ok -- but then felt rushed.

We went on a Saturday night. Despite having booked for 7.30pm, we were still waiting for a table till after 8pm. Since the table was not ready, we were asked to go to the bar for a drink which we did but there again waited for another 20 Minutes before getting the attention of a bartender. Otherwise the food was... More

Our server spent more time flirting with the hostess , drinking beer at the bar and flirting with the bartender than he spent with his patrons

Excellent food. The squid, octopus and whole fish are outstanding. Service is friendly, but can be slow and a bit disorganized. A little bit expensive, but generally worth it.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
