As our plane landed on a Saturday afternoon, we were shattered on Sunday so walked round the corner from the metro hotel where we were staying and found this beauty. Food, drinks and service by Donna was incredible. We had drinks and starters (chicken wings and nachos) as we did not want big meals. They were still more than enough... More

Found the Keg Room by accident when staying in a hotel close by. Good basic "pub style" fare, with good service most of the time. Very noisy though, and of course tv's all around with all different sports. Bit expensive by UK standards but that sums up eating in USA. But for a good meal without hastle, then recommend this... We met a school friend of mine here on our recent trip to NY as its close to where she works. We got there a little early and sat at the bar with a drink. The bar is lovely and traditional, like the bar from the TV show Cheers! We went for some food when my friend arrived. We ordered... More

My husband and I had a bite to eat at the Keg Room prior to a Billy Joel concert at Madison Square Garden recently. The atmosphere is a very busy sports bar setting, but quite pleasant. My husband had the fish and chips, which he said was very good, and I had the crispy chicken sandwich, which I enjoyed and... More

Was there this past weekend. Do not go there hungry some of us had the banger's and mash, looked good but it must have been off the kid's menu. Pitiful amount of food also the fish and chips looked good but the fish was uncooked in the center and the fries were nothing better than store bought frozen fries. One... More

Had a few drinks and a meal here. Place is big, typical sports type bar with huge screens and a very large venue. Good choice of beers and food, with generous portions. Reasonable NY prices, but be warned, this place is noisy.

Just off 6th Ave not far from Macy's, Bryant Park and Penn Station. Busy, loud, Irish bar. Large bar area to sit at with several TVs with college football games on. Reasonably priced food menu with a good selection of burgers, sandwiches and entrees. Extensive draft and bottled beer selection, but a little pricey.Had the soup of the day and... More

Great food, lots of beer and a really fun place. My wife and I were visiting NYC and wanted a good place to watch the Alabama/Florida SEC Championship. We picked The Keg Room through reading reviews on TripAdvisor and we were not disappointed! I had Bangers and Mashed and she had Fish and Chips after we split some wings. The... More

My husband and I followed a troop of Guy Fieri impersonators into the Keg Room for a boisterous gathering. The staff was very patient with the group and very solicitous of our beverage needs. We enjoyed a couple of drinks and the surrounding circuses, a good time had by all.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
