I went to Pho Pasteur with my family. I remember it like the best Vietnamese when I went 10 years ago and came back. My memories just came back and I can say again it is the best Vietnamese you will try ever. The place is nice and in middle of China town. The service is amazing and you feel... More

In China Town, this restaurant is a step up from many as regards decor and tables, albeit, a bit crowded. Sunday brunch time was busy so service was a bit slow. But food was worth the wait. I had a pork chop dish that was excellent; another diner had a bar-b-que beef dish that was quite good. The soups with... More

We joined friends here for dinner in Chinatown last night after they recommended it to us. They have dined here many times previously and have always enjoyed the food. I wish we had suggested going elsewhere b/c this was perhaps one of the worst meals that I've ever been served. It wasn't even what the owner agreed to serve me... More

A small unassuming restaurant with food that packs a punch. I have tried every Vietnamese restaurant in NYC's Chinatown (Nha Trang One, Nha Trang Center, Bang, Bo Ky, etc.), and Pho Pasteur remains the best, IMHO. I have never had a bad or even mediocre meal at his restaurant. My favorite: barbecue beef on cold rice noodles with raw vegetables... More

Terrible food terrible service. Never ever waste your time there. Pho was cold. How can a pho possibly be cold? Service was a total nightmare. A server never checked on our table and he even yelled and stared us to order fast. Surprisingly, white family next to our table seemed to be served nicely. I guess they just assumed we... More

The soup is not hot (temperature) and the flavor is like hot water. Beef is dry.bean sprout is fresh. I don't recommend this dish. I am not sure other dishes.

Friends have been raving so 7 of us met up today for lunch. Had summer rolls to start which were fresh and tasty. Five dishes from noodles to need and others including eggplant were shared and enjoyed. The Vietnamese coffee is excellent. The plates were a tad small to fit our food on. Place is small so can be tight.

Pho Ga.....Plenty of chicken, veggies plus an extra plate of veggies. The medium bowl is very large. Tasty broth. Fried pork rolls were very tasty, as was the dipping sauce. A great place to eat

Formerly a bare bones noodle shop, the owners have redecorated with polished dark wood and mirrors. The glass topped tables with their condiments remain. The food comes out quickly, as if they're cooking only for you. Danny manning the register is friendly and welcoming. The pho is lovely and loaded with meaty treasures, silky and unctuous bits. Spring rolls are... More

As close at it gets to real Vietnamese food. Only the portions are adjusted to American standards. We had a great meal there last night. It's small and clean. You never have to wait long. We ordered a pho with different kinds of meat. Fresh herbs, lemon and bean sprouts on the table and the mysterious dark sauce next to... More

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown
Bursting with an amazing array of sights, sounds, and smells on every block, a visit to Chinatown feels like entering a different world. It’s a colorful spectacle that gets even more crowded on weekends, when families stream in to enjoy huge dim sum feasts and to stock up at the markets on Mott Street. To take a break from the buzz, grab something sweet from one of the many bakeries in the area and head to Columbus Park, where many Chinatown residents exercise, play games, and chat the day away.
