Pocket friendly, quick service and reasonably fresh. Pita bread, falafel and toppings all tasted fresh. Very small place and reasonably clean, so hardly enough space to queue up, purchase and pay. You assemble your own toppings and pack it to go. Staff were friendly when I needed help, otherwise mostly disengaged and passive.

We stopped for a quick and light lunch. There is a salad bar and we picked some veg sandwiches, hummus and salads. It is very tiny place and there is no way to find a seat where to eat your stuff. Only one bench indoor and one outside. Service unattentive and absent-minded. The food was OK, but certainly it is... More

If you like Mediterranean cuisine give this place a try. I stopped in here for lunch as was not disappointed. My husband and both had bowls with salad as the base. One we got with the chicken the other with the Falafel's. You then get to choose from all the topping they have in the fixing area's to add to... More

This small take out serves excellent in fact the best light tasty Felafel I ever tasted in a whole wheat Pita with a huge range of ingredients to add . The added ingredients come at an additional cost. They also have a soup of the day . There is only a small bench seat to sit down to eat .... More

I have a restricted diet, so for me to get safe, tasty, warm, healthy, affordable food quickly is a rare occurrence. On my first night in NYC, I was so happy to find Maoz. Hopefully they'll branch out and move west.

Maoz is a quick-serving salad bar where you choose a warm base (ie. rice or pitta pocket) and decide on chicken or falafels. You then have a varied salad bar to help yourself from (included in your price)- that's as many different fresh and tasty salads as you want but you only get one helping! Sauces are also available. This... More

C'mon, it's food cart eating in a small shop at twice the price. Counter service, although there is a tip jar. I went in hoping for a quick meal and was really shocked that it took them 15 minutes to make my food after I'd already paid. I cannot think of any reason at all to eat here again.

I love my warm pita and falafel, but it is nothing without some well seasoned, freshly cut salads. That is where Maoz shines. You get any plate or pita and you can pile it with as much of 12 salad varieties as you can. YUM! They have great fries, but my fave is their sweet-potato fries. The staff, hmmm... gotta... More

I wanted salad and falafel and I looked online and Maoz was recommended. Overall, it provided a nice and healthier version of a salad bowl or pita - and you can add your own toppings. I choose the salad bowl with falafel. I choose my salad bowl with spinach, and the bowl came with spinach and falafel (you can add-on... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
