I have been dining few weeks ago there expecting at least an excellent food quality and despicable service in a nice inspiring ambience. Out of the three the only real was the third all the rest was really bad , the food was served almost cold twice after we were returning it back the first time, people there thinks that... More

This used to be our go-to restaurant. Beautiful room, great food, impeccable service. Wow, the way things were -- and no longer are. The staff has changed over, and while our waiter was very nice, he didn't have polish or panache. My entree was inedible. To the restaurant's credit, it was changed without a problem. The place just doesn't have... More

A very run down restaurant with a big name. The food had no taste and the preparation is more like a cheap dinner. The red wine is served much to cold and the answer from the manager was totally unprofessional. A very lousy New Years eve dinner.

We were invited to meet family for dinner at this restaurant when we were in NYC recently. Several of us ordered the special of the day and not disappointed. Others ordered off the menu and were pleased with the meal served to them. Everything is al carte so keep that in mind when ordering. The entrée is just that -... More

This restaurant strikes me as trying to be something it isn't. Communication is so poor that no one knew what was happening. Complaints seemed to be going in frequently. I don't know if this was the food or what. I don't speak Spanish so found it very difficult to speak with the waiter. I ordered a bottle of Cote de... More

I spent a wonderful evening with my girlfriend. The service was very attentive and the food was amanzing. The best part was the location and the romantic atmosphere inside the restaurant. Best place in the Upper East.

I have to admit, I was disappointed. When I read this place is known to offer comfort food for the rich and famous, I expected simple food of the highest quality prepared to perfection. My first course was exactly that. A beet salad presented, seasoned and served with crispy guanciale to perfection. I had high expectations for the duck entree... More

Arrived late after a show....the place was closing however when we arrived, they waited & were very kind about it. Appetizers: kale salad & burrata was good. The signature pasta dish, white bolognese was really delish, organic chicken was great too. Desert souflee was good too...overall very good. Loved the decor, beautiful & elegant.

My wife and I enjoyed an anniversary dinner for two, as this sister restaurant to the West Village's Lion. The space is beautifully designed, with a narrow bar leading into two, larger seating areas. The latter, with a wonderful glass roof that's perfect for watching a summer thunderstorm crash down upon as my wife and I did. I recommend arriving... More

Our concierge at Loews Regency recommended this place so we had no idea what to expect. This charmer was on a lovely street in the Upper East Side, when you walk in it seems a bit dark, but in the back is an awesome atrium area with floor to ceiling windows and trees, just gorgeous!! The food was creative and... More

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighbourhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighbourhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighbourhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
