We have been here before, it's a great place to go and is a real highlight in NYC. From the outside it's a surprise, you arrive at a pawn shop and enter from the door in the back of the shop. It's such a great entry, what a contrast. The music, the ambience and the vibrance is as good as... More

Best meal of the weekend for my wife and me! We used words like different, unique, and delicious to describe a dining experience unlike anything we have ever had. The ambiance had a very cool vibe. With the food, you absolutely cannot go wrong. And with the tapas idea, we got to try a number of varied dishes. It's worth... More

The food here is amazing! Pricey restaurant but well worth the money. Funky spot and cool vibe. A must visit when in New York. Don't order a set meal per person, opt for family style and order lots of different dishes to share

Food was very good. Service was fine. Was extreemly loud where we were seated. We were next to a very loud party of 6- could barely have a conversation . Glad we experienced though.

This is a really hip cool place. You enter it through a pawn shop and once you go through the next set of doors you are transported into a a very cool place with lots of beautiful and young people. The food is all small bites and it was a good menu with extensive choices for everyone. The chocolate cake... More

Great ambience but noisy. We loved the menu, and the execution of the dishes. Really terrific .. chicken meatballs, mushroom ravioli, the burger, lamb chops and mashed potato.

Went here weds night with my friend and our mums visiting from the U.K. Ambience was amazing, music great, (but louder in the bar but totally fine in the restaurant) Cocktails were fabulous & the food exceeded expectations. We ordered around 6 things for all of us & it really was very good & filling.

Took our 16yr old here for her birthday. The food was very good but definitely way overpriced for what you get. We all felt that we were being rushed. At one point they actually lifted away a plate of shrimp that we were still eating from. We have travelled the world and our kids are foodies already, their opinion was... More

A colleague took me to dinner here but didn't explain it before we got there. Who knew such a great restaurant lies behind a pawn shop! The food was amazing, the bar scene lively and the drinks great. If you can get a reservation, take it!

Staying in Lower East Side

Neighbourhood Profile
Lower East Side
Straddling the bridge between New York’s thriving immigrant past and its modern transformation into a beacon of global art and culture, the Lower East Side is one of the most dynamic neighbourhoods in the city. The blocks of tenements that represented the promise and blight of the Lower East Side immigrant experience now command top dollar for new residents. Right next to old-world delis, 24-hour bodegas, and the garment shops of Orchard Street, you’ll find hip clubs, fashionable bistros, and luxury hotels beckoning at all hours of the evening. If you love nightlife and live music, it’s hard to beat the scene here.
