Went during restaurant week. We were lucky to get in at the last minute (a very early seating). We did not go for the Prix Fix menu, rather opted for getting the mushroom poriyal and the galauti kababs. Both were very good, with nice presentation...More

We are always on the lookout for new hi end Indian restaurants and this one looked intriguing The room is tastefully decorated and has a somewhat intimate atmosphere with tables separated by curtains. There is a full bar and the cocktail selection is good although...More

I could put up with the exorbitant prices for good Indian food that you could get from two dozen other places in New York City for 1/3 of the price if the service were better. Staff often ignores you, bar service is slow and orders...More

This is a relatively new restaurant--only here for the past 8 months. Although it was dark inside (We sat near the window, during day light, so it wasn't too dark.), they have lighted menus and checks. The staff were friendly enough. My daughter loved her...More

This meets the dictionary definition: it is one of a kind! Yes, it is an Indian restaurant and yes, you can find most familiar dishes here. But there are also delicious original variations. Every single item was deliciously different. We stayed with a price-fixe menu...More

Decent food, nice atmosphere. Rather expensive compared to other Indian places. There are also better options for gourmet Indian food in NYC

I made a 2:15 reservation and arrived at 2:19 due to road construction delaying cab. The kitchen was supposed to close by 2:30, and we were prepared to order immediately, but the hostess (who was pleasant and apologetic) told us the kitchen had already closed...More

Went for dinner on a Monday's evening. Promptly seated despite not having a reservation. Good ambience. Ordered a couple of appetizers ragada chaat and cauliflower Manchurian. Both were ok and a bit bland. The cauliflower appetizer was too oily. Ordered dhal, chole and kulcha for...More

This is Indian food with a twist. The butter panner might just be a little too soggy for your taste. But the rotis more than compensate for it. Go for the methi-aloo combinations.

Had dinner in this well decorated small restaurant. We are not well versed in Indian food, and the staff did a good job of walking us through the menu. We had goat and rice with shrimp cooked in a crockery pot covered with baked rice....More
