This place has incredible food and a delightful atmosphere. The vegetarian dishes are spiced to a mouth watering. Degree. Dishes that are uncommon in most places are routinely served and the wait staff can explain dishes in detail. I look forward to coming here as often as I can and rarely has a place affected me this way. I just... More

WOW, talk about a change in my attitude. this is what people rave about who like authentic Indian food. What a great experience. Unusual offerings that the wait staff helped us sort out. New spices and flavors galore. I would go here again in a minute. It is going to be one of those places I take out of town... More

I have come to NY for many years for markets and trade shows, however during this particular trip, I was fortunate to have a business dinner with longtime colleagues from India. They praised Vikas Khanna's culinary talent (a Michelin starred chef) and this dinner more than showed their positive reviews were accurate. The group that I was with asked the... More

Incredible food and great ambiance with brand Vikas Khanna, we were fortune as he came to our table & gave autograph to gift to my daughter. I would rate to be the best Indian restaurant I have ever visited , the tough to get the fixed menu delicacies out of fixed menu however food was too good and not full... More

We recently visited this place for lunch based on a suggestion from a friend. Our overall experience - good food, small portions, big price. So although, I was happy that we did not stuff ourselves (for health/diet reason:-), we felt somewhat underwhelmed as compared to the recommendation. Also, the sense of the customer service did not seem either warm or... More

Heard about this restaurant of Vikas Khanna and were excited to go after hearing him a lot in TV. What a shame it turned out to be. We booked the table and when we reached, we're told that we have only 1:45 min to have the dinner! Seriously? Especially in NYC where there is no dearth of restaurants.. anyway, we... More

Six of us had dinner and everyone was pleased. The octopus starter was amazing and the lobster main course was enjoyed by a non lover of lobster. The service was very good. The sommelier was extremely helpful despite objecting to my preferences. The spaciousness of the dining room makes you forget you are in NYC. Two of our party live... More

The food was excellent, but the prices were on the high end. They could increase the portions slightly. Lived up to the hype. Good job Vikas Khanna!

I was here for dinner with a big group, and while the food was great, the experience was very strange. One member of our party was ignored repeatedly - including when the waiter was providing everyone with silverware - they literally just skipped him, even though he was sitting at the head of the table. We're still not sure what... More

Junoon is very attractively decorated, and the staff is friendly. But of course the food is the big attraction. We were four and all of us were very happy with everything we ordered. Lovely, light Indian food from several provinces. Lots of meatless dishes!

Staying in Flatiron District

Neighbourhood Profile
Flatiron District
Offering many of city’s best restaurants and shops set amid classic New York architecture, the Flatiron District is no longer under the tourist radar. At 23rd Street is the famous triangular Flatiron Building, which makes a good picture no matter what angle you photograph it from. Be sure to look up at the elegant architecture as you stroll the streets- much of this neighborhood is part of a historic district that was home to many of the city’s most famous department stores at the turn of the century. At the northern end of the neighbourhood, Madison Square Park is best known for being the home of a famous burger shack, but it can also be a quiet refuge to spend an afternoon, and it frequently hosts interesting public art exhibits. In the lower part of the Flatiron District you'll find Union Square, a bustling crossroads at all times of day and night.
