I'm latinamerican, so I have to say that I'm probably somewhat partial to this place. But honestly, any bar that has Toña (Nicaraguan beer) is going to rate highly in my book! This is the perfect place to pop in for a drink and a fun time, without having to worry about door service, etc. The music is fun, people... More

Great neighborhood spot to grab a quick bite or have a drink. The Suckling Pig Tacos are superb, as is the Sangria. A favorite local spot (though perhaps not a destination in itself.

Best Bloody Marys in town, great food and service. This was my third visit to Oficina Latina and I really reccomend it. We shared several dishes and we really enjoyed all of it. All so spicey and tastful. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is really cool.

Stumbled across this little gem with a couple of mates. Good food, fast service and fun atmosphere. Would definitely go again to try more of the menu.

I have walked by this place numerous times and since my favorite Nolita joint Barbossa up the street had closed it's doors for good I finally decided to sit down. We had tostadas cangrejo (crab), tacos pescado, arepas domino and guacamole & chips. The chips & guac was good, but the other dishes were just ok. Average mexican food is... More

5 $ for coke that's ridiculous... And the fish tacos were fish sticks.... No way !!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was a weird place- looks authentic from the outside but a completely different story once you walk in.

Warm, cozy with mismatched comfortable, upholstered chairs and a bartender who'll make you a great flavored mojito or something new you've not tried before. The service is a bit relaxed, but if you know this neighborhood that's not a bad thing and you should go with the atmosphere. Their chicken arepas and Caipirinha are the best. Drinks are strong, service... More

Are you in the mood for Mexican food tonight? How about some Argentinean too? And maybe a little Chilean while we’re at it? Well, now you can get it all at one restaurant – Oficina Latina, a popular Latin American restaurant in New York City's Nolita. Oficina Latina calls itself a pan-American bistro, and features cuisines from a number of South and Central American countries, including Mexico, Argentina, Ecuador, Chile, Costa Rica and Panama. Best of all, the restaurant organizes its menu by country, so you can pick your dish by destination. Want a taste of Peru? Try the Ceviche de Calamari y Vieras. Craving Venezuelan? Order the Arepas Mixtas. Cuban food on the brain? Get the Cubano, of course! Oficina Latina has all of these cuisines – and more – and prepares them all well. The restaurant offers a daily fresh cocktail selection as well, featuring an interesting wine list from the major Latin American regions, and a few beers from Central and South America.

Staying in Nolita

Neighbourhood Profile
Despite being just off of busy Houston Street, Nolita maintains a low-key vibe that makes it a pleasant retreat in the heart of lower Manhattan. Short for “North of Little Italy,” Nolita was once considered to be part of Little Italy. Today, the neighbourhood is popular with young fashionistas popping in and out of the chic independent boutiques that line Mulberry, Mott and Elizabeth Streets. In addition to shopping, there are cozy restaurants and sidewalk cafes serving everything from new-school Italian food to the world-famous cronuts. While small in size (Nolita stretches just a few blocks in each direction), it’s a great neighbourhood to spend an afternoon people watching, window-shopping, and grabbing a bite to eat.
