We dine here once in a while. Good staple upper east side French fare. Nothing to rave about, but a nice local French restaurant nonetheless. Mussels are good, the cheese platter very nice. Worth a try.

The food here is really good bistro classics and terrific specials - all very reasonably priced for the quality. Only pity is that though the core team (manger, chef, bar man) are consistent, the other waiting staff seem to come and go a little too regularly which is a pity. That said it is still well worth trying out.

Went to this restaurant with a groupon which helped the bill. The cheese platter was delicious (duck slices were awesome!!!!!!) and red wine. The risotto was nice and earthy and the salmon was delicious as well. The fries were a hit as well. I would recommend this restaurant again as the food and service were good.

We went there for a late Saturday dinner. Service as always good, we both had the cut of the day, and an excellent red wine.

Take advantage of the Groupon deals provided by La Bistro D’Cote as they do offer good savings, in particular deals where it’s a fixed dollar amount. Entrees are slightly more expensive than appetizers but portions much better thus it does make sense at times to skip the appetizer and order an extra entrée. For example, opt for the large portion... More

We went there for dinner, I had just arrived from Europe. We had pate appetizer and the steak. Very good, good wine and friendly service.

We have not eaten in the restaurant yet, but recently ordered delivery--french onion soup and burgers. The food was excellent, delivered promptly, still hot and the soup did not leak at all. Best UES delivery burgers in a long while. Will definitely order from them again, and we look forward to eating at the restaurant.

We've eaten in this bistro with the owner in a rather dark but interesting venue. We've also had dinner delivered at home. The food is certainly well prepared but the sauce for my companion's chicken tasted too much of bouillon and it was consequently a bit dry. Nonetheless the quality was very good and it was cooked well. Surprisingly they... More

We have been to this Resturant a few times over the last months - and the service and food is always great. You do not feel rushed, which is rare in NYC. The wine selection is ok and the atmosphere is rather relaxed. A neighborhood gem of a place.

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighbourhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighbourhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighbourhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
