I met a friend at the Wright in the early afternoon before going to the Agnes Martin show upstairs at the Guggenheim. Neither she nor I had been to the Wright before. Even before I arrived she texted, "Here in restaurant. Lovely here and calm." She was right. Beautiful setting, a calm oasis in a busy city. The menu had... More

I had a very nice lunch at the museum last week. I had made reservations and had a bowl of tomato soup and a roasted chicken. With a glass of wine the bill was $41. I would go back

Returned to The Wright after a year's absence...oh, is it still good! Mouthwatering pasta and tomato soup; chocolate cake with perfect raspberries and delicious mocha ice cream side garnishes. Ahhhhhhhhhhh. Portions not too small, not too large.

Lovely space in basement of Guggenheim. You do not have to buy a ticket for the museum! Lovely food, and not especially expensive for where we are!

I had a lovely lunch there prior to doing the Guggenheim. The menu was varied, the service professional and the cost was lower than I would have thought for a museum restaurant. A recent experience at one of the cafes at the Natural History has made me very wary of those venues.

We had a roasted chicken, which was nice. It was also a very large meal, so we found ourselves a lot fuller than we had expected to be. But a good eating option if you are visiting the Guggenheim.

Dropped in for lunch, it was a delight. Plenty of choices and the design is also a delight. It made it a pleasure to spend our time and money.

This room is fun--looks like it belongs in the Guggenheim. Excellent service, fresh flowers on the table, good food selection. One of the better museum restaurant experiences.

We were pleasantly surprised when we walked into The Wright restaurant next to the Guggenheim museum. The last time I'd been to the Guggenheim, the restaurant was a cafeteria style eatery with delicious food. Now it's a Modern themed restaurant, complete with waiters and a wine list. The seared salmon dish, with risotto and pea leaves was perfectly prepared, moist,... More

Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighbourhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighbourhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see.
