Went here after seeing Spamilton at the Triad Theater. The aroma pulled us in. The food was great, as was the service. Will go back if ever in the area.

A large selection of Turkish dishes. One of better New York Turkish restaurants. The shepherd's salad, the stuffed cabbage, and the various lamb dishes have all been very good.

I can't lie the place was good. I wouldn't steer anybody away. That being said the food was just good and not great, the service was very slow (granted when we entered the entire restaurant filled up all at once) and the wine pour with the lunch special was tiny. If it were somewhere outside of NYC I would even... More

We happened to wander into Turkish Grill on 72nd Street and decided to choose from their prix fix menu. The chopped salad was fresh with a light dressing, and topped with feta. I loved it. The falafels were equally enjoyable- crispy and tasty. The hot flatbread was a perfect complement. I will definitely return.

What I love about dining out in Manhattan is to combine my waist-line with my appetite for culture whenever possible, or more specifically, a combination of a lovely meal with a live-show. and that is exactly what I had in mind recently at Seven's Turkish Restaurant on 72nd Street, between Amsterdam and Columbus Avenues. The Triad theatre-venue is right above... More

We came in for Sunday brunch, a party of six including two frail seniors in their 90’s with canes. We headed for a table with 8 chairs and were shooed away to a 6-seater wedged into a corner. The table was as small as could be. The server told us that the 8-seater was allowed only for larger parties. Fair... More

I went with a local friend who frequents this restaurant. I was quite pleased with the dish I had. It was a kind of Turkish ravioli. It was in a tomato yogurt sauce and very ample. They serve a warm kind of sesame bread and olive oil to start that was also very good. The price was right and the... More

Everything we ate was delicious! The lamb kebab was succulent and perfectly cooked. They only use New Zealand and Australian lamb and you can taste the difference. The stuffed cabbage with tomato sauce and yogurt tasted homemade -- so flavorful. The salad was fresh, crisp and plentiful. The feta was different than what you normally get -- more subtle and... I had just returned from Istanbul when I came upon this restaurant. The chicken kabob was delicious. I reminded me of Istanbul

NYC has thousands of restaurants. Every culture, ethnicity and regional cuisine you could wish. "Sevens" is a Turkish/Mediterranean grill that could be lost in the overwhelming opportunities for dining. We discovered it as a convenience for dinner prior to an Off Broadway show in the Triad Theater -- which is just above the restaurant. The variety of dishes and the... More
