Came for dinner, service was excellent. The food was delicious, did a few small plates and split a dish - all was yummy.

We had a gift certificate and I was not expecting much but was quite pleasantly surprised. Although the restaurant is not large, it is light and airy with large windows. Service was excellent. Had to try the chowder (because of the name) and it was...More

Ed - you gotta be kidding? Small portions and big prices! Six little shrimp on a plate with some dried out watercress for 30 dollars??? Or a single, tiny crabcake for 18?? Come on Ed, this is NYC. We expect so much more! On a...More

While dinner is average and slightly pricey happy hour is a bargain . Oysters are fresh and cheap. The clam strip basket is inexpensive and perfect with wine and happy hour cocktails

This is a surprising restaurant to find upstairs in a hotel. It's large, there's plenty of room around the tables and it's pretty quiet for such a busy place. I had the clam chowder (wonderful) and the fried clam salad (very tasty). The breads were...More

Had a delicious meal on Saturday evening before the Met Opera's La Boheme. Service was attentive, oysters were perfectly chilled, fresh and tasted of the sea. My husband's fluke was delicious and my scallops were nicely grilled and abundant in flavor. We weren't rushed and...More
