We ordered noodles, fry rice, dumplings and vegetables during our visit last week. Every dish was delicious and authentic. I highly recommend this place.

Was very disappointed with the food. They looked good, but the taste and textures just didn't meet standards. The noodles were super thick! Dumpling skins were also very thick. Had high expectations because of the 4.5 star ratings here. Clearly, I've had better jja jiang...mian with thicker meat sauce and more cucumbers. Liang pi was very oily. dumpling skin was too thick! Most of the other customers just ate the meat filling in their dumplings too! They don't even serve extra chilli on the side?! I guess the name famous on its shop just means famous but does not really mean they are good!More

I greatly enjoyed my meal. The hand pulled noodles were delicious, however I found the beefs to be fatty and slightly dry. The restaurant was clean and spacious.

As most people know, most American Chinese Food is not authentic. The noodles and sauces here are legit. I had the spicey and tingley beef. It was amazing. Also got a bottle of the chili paste sauce to go. This is a must on my...next visit.More

These are some of the best hand pulled noodles! I got the medium spice level but I think I might go higher just to have more of the flavor. The chili oil is not only spicy, but it has a great flavor to it! Don't...go zero spice for sure!More

Note: we went to the 8th Ave - 96 8th Ave., New York, NY 10011 -- location of this chain. I could not find the actual location we went to on TripAdvisor. Excellent, flavorful, hot and filling lunch. Very popular and now I know why....Great value too. we went after walking all around the Whitney and the new Island park - really glad we tried Xi'an Famous Foods' spicy noodles!More

Just made Spicy Cumin Lamb Hand-Ripped Noodles Meal Kit from Xi'an Famous Foods. It was great. I'm even thinking about how wonderful it will be to have some more tonight. They gave me 4 packages of their Chili Sauce too so it's quite easy to...regulate the heat factor. The instructions could be a bit tighter and clearer. Don't angst over the noodle pulling perfectly. It's a lot of fun. My last two noodle portions/sections stuck together so they were a little thicker but it didn't matter. In the end all the ingredients get thrown into the same pot/wok. It was amazing! Will get again.More

We ordered three meal kits, beef, pork and vegetarian. It was delivered on the afternoon chosen as promised. Everything you need is included. I recommend that you watch the you tube video to see just what to expect. It was lots of fun and the...end product is delicious. The portions are extremely sufficient even for a hearty appetite. It was a great option to going out. Do hope to visit one of their many locations when things change. Enjoy!More

My girlfriend, my friend and I went to Xian for lunch two weekends ago, and we ordered a few noodle dishes and some teas. The noodles were good, flavors ok although a bit different compared to those I had and loved in China, but it...was simply too complicated to eat them since they were too long, large and the plate too small to contain them. Teas were amazing and the place itself nice, cozy and clean. Maybe I only chose the wrong noodles, but I had higher expectations both for the price spent and for the great reviews I read.More

This place is good if you really crave some hand pull noodles and you're in the middle of mid town and can't go to Flushing or Chinatown. The quality really varies from each Xi'an Famous Foods and some places the noodles aren't cooked all the...way but usually its pretty standard. Not too spicy and good for a lunch quick eat spot.More

I didn't know what to expect but this meal was one of the highlights of my trip. I ordered the Spicy Hot-Oil noodles and would have loved to have gone here twice on my trip. I was a big fan of their thicker noodles.

came here after a walk through china town and the restaurant had an A rating in the window, the food seemed reasonably spiced and we both decided to have the spicy lamb cumin burger which wasn't too spicy and tasted very nice and I would...recommend I would like to try more dishes but I don't think there will be another visit to NYC soon but the service was also quite quickMore
