Great place for casual breakfast amongst a lot of hotels and trying to be upscale restaurants. Yes it’s cramped and quick, but that’s part of the charm and the food is reliably good. Been here a few times over the years and it’s always as...More

Solid service and decent food. A little cramped but if you don’t mind it’s a good place to eat. Very much like a diner

This is a great example of what I think may be a dying breed - the classic American breakfast place, serving eggs, bacon, pancakes etc and no nonsense about juice, kale etc (though they'll do you egg-white omelettes if you want). It's busy, steamy, noisy...More

Opens at 6am and the staff are cheerful at that time so if you are wide awake due to jet lag and need to eat then get yourself here. Great choice all freshly cooked and good prices too. Easily better than any hotel fare where...More

You spot this place as a New York Diner-style establishment. If you make the mistake of going inside - as I did last week - then you quickly realise that the place is rather disagreeable, tired and dirty - and expensive!!. It should be closed...More

This has all walks of life sharing a good hearty true American breakfast. Savvy tourists, local families, business types and couples, even the local construction workers know they are onto a good thing here. The eggs here are done to perfection, remember to order sunny-side...More

We had breakfast here and the servings were good sized and the food was good. A little noisy but the service was very fast and friendly.

We ate here for breakfast. We knew it was a diner and was hoping for simple good flavors. My omelette was over cooked. The chef scraped all the eggs burnt into the griddle onto my plate. The potatoes were bland. I paid $13.95 for a...More

Regarding NY Luncheonette being open on Christmas Day, I have to admit I'm not sure. However, give them a call at (212) 838 0165 and get a quick answer. Sorry I wasn't very helpful.
