Stopped in today (2/23/17) for lunch. We were seated right away, and that was the end of any good experience. The waitress, whose name I did not catch (nor did she offer it), took our drink/food order and promptly vanished. Never returned to check on our food or refill our drinks. 1 cup of coffee and 1 glass of water... More

This was our first time eating at the Brooklyn Diner -wonderful,friendly service by all staff members especially our server Danny. The food portions were large and tasty. I ordered the Tony Bennet French toast which was cinnamon raisin French toast with pecans and maple syrup. Delicious! My husband ordered an omelet with cheese and sausage which was a special order... The Brooklyn Diner was close to where we were staying near Times Square, so we decided to stop by for a bite to eat. Since we had reservations for a late dinner, we didn't want too much - just something light. It was snowing that day, so I ordered some soup to warm me up. It was just what I... More

Very much enjoyed the cocktails, calamari, and the arugula salad. The chicken noodle soup is also good. Our server and manager were very nice. Large menu. The ambiance was very NY. Loved that I could reserve on Open Table. Would like to try for breakfast sometime. Pretty pricey.

A bit pricier than your average diner, but then this is not your average diner. Great concept with dishes influenced by Brooklyn. Huge plates of food and good quality too. The noodle kugel was interesting. Sadly we could not manage deserts so will just have to come back and try again on another trip. Staff were very welcoming as well.

First of all...make a reservation! They are in the heart of Times Square and there was never an empty table. The most amazing part of this restaurant is that they put a healthy spin on favorites, using sweet potatoes, instead of white, kale instead of romaine in the Caesar salad (which both of my kids LOVED!). The egg creams are... More

I went to this restaurant for lunch a few days ago with my family. I had the Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict. It was great, although it was a bit cold. The service was friendly, although after our meal was done, it was hard to get our waiter for the check. Overall, it was a great meal, albeit, mildly room temperature.

We eat here once a year during the Christmas/New Years holidays. They manage people well who are waiting with professional staff. The wait staff knows the menu and relates well with us with our repartee. The menu selections (always breakfast for us) are varied and creative. The food is served on time and well-heated, and it's delicious. The server attends... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
