Having dined at restaurants that collectively earned 66 Michelin stars, I feel I know a little about outstanding dining experiences. For the last few years Jean-Georges is my very favorite for ambiance of the dining room, quality of the food, and level of service. It...More

One of the most overrated restaurants in the michellin class category. Food was overdosed with salt and no creativity in taste or presentation. Service was average at best. Went for dinner with wife and had the tasting menus. After dinner was offered a birthday dessert...More

I had high expectations for Jean-Georges. I think the ancillary factors were met. Immaculate service, beautiful venue, careful plating and efficient orders. The 3 course lunch menu was partially met. The preparation, the concepts, and the aesthetics were solid. The courses were overall good. However,...More

Great Michelin star dining. All of the staff were impeccable as it should be. The food was very good. There were a few dishes that did not fit my palette but I enjoyed it nonetheless. The caviar course is a must do. The toasted egg...More

Jean Gorges is a mid-town Manhattan restaurant at #1 Columbus Circle, part of the Trump International Hotel and Tower. For us old New Yorkers, that was once the Gulf & Western Building. Making things slightly confusing is that this one location, this single restaurant, has...More

Excellent 5 star dining in New York City! 3 different seating areas available including outside, casual, and formal dining. We have fined in all 3 depending on the occasion! Pre-fixe menus, chef specials, and caviar creations are some of our favorites!

Jean-Georges opened in 1997 to critical acclaim. The jewel of Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten’s empire, the restaurant offers the very best in fine dining. Consistently awarded four stars by the New York Times and three Michelin stars, Jean-Georges presents exquisitely crafted dishes blending French, American, and Asian influences. The local farmer’s market is the driving force behind the seasonal, ever-changing menu. Chef Jean-Georges is a master at maintaining the essence of ingredients while using them inventively to produce the best flavor. Jean-Georges’ chic and intimate dining room was redesigned by Thomas Juul-Hansen, with striking lighting by L’Observatoire. Impeccable service, tableside preparations, and floor-to-ceiling windows with stunning views of Central Park and Columbus Circle all contribute to an unforgettable dining experience. Jean-Georges offers a three-course prix-fixe menu and two six-course tasting menus: a traditional tasting of the chef’s signature dishes, and a seasonal tasting featuring fresh market ingredients. The prix-fixe and tasting menus are available Monday through Sunday for dinner. The restaurant also offers a two-course lunch menu for a terrific value. Gentleman are required to wear a jacket. No jeans, sweatshirts or sneakers allowed. Tie is not required.
