We thought to have Japanese food in the evening and this place turned to be. Very bad place for food and terrible service. After 9pm they were not ready to take further orders. When we sat down and were looking at the menu I asked...More

We wanted sushi and other Japanese options at 6pm on a Friday night -- after a long work week and before an 8 o'clock Broadway show. Inkaya fit the bill. Very comfortable setting and friendly staff. We shared some rolls and salads. Things added up...More

I am a gluten-free vegan. I had to pick and choose several different items to eat, but they were cooked very well and tasted good. I had edamame, grilled potatoes, shitake mushrooms and a house salad. It was satisfying. Very loud.

Inakaya has good food but if you're hungry bring your checkbook. The restaurant is kind of a cavernous place and lacks intimacy. The staff works hard to make it an authentic Japanese experience. When we arrived for our reservation they didn't have a table that...More

We visited previously and wanted to try it out for dinner after a matinee show. It was a convenient and very good choice next to the NY Times building near Times Square. You are greeted loudly as you head to your seats making for a...More

This place misses the intimacy of its Tokyo parent. It is loud, it is industrial and it is filled with tourists. Good sashimi but but be careful, very thick slabs Kobe style. The food comes very quickly, we had the sashimi and hot dishes all...More

I agree with kathyht... Call to be sure! We are always first for their dinner time. If not valid at lunch time, definitely make arrangements for dinner... Great eating experience!
