This is a nice restaurant to meet up with friends or even for a date night. Great decor, atmosphere, service and the food was delicious. I would definitely recommend a visit. Plates are a little small....more like tapas to order one or two plates and share the delicious food.

The acoustics here are horrible. Don't go if you want to have a conversation! That being said, the food is GREAT, service is wonderful and the prices are reasonable for NY. Just go with folks that you don't want to listen to!

Thoroughly enjoyed this small upbeat restaurant in my daughters new neighborhood. Our server from Prague was a delight and was spot on with her recommendations. My 15 year old niece loved her gnocchi and my black pasta dish was a highlight. Will definitely return :)

Sojourn is a great spot for a solid meal. The front room feels like a neighborhood wine or cocktail bar and dining room in back is casual and relaxed. This is not your typical UES restaurant with white tablecloths or a beer bar with 20 screens for your sports fix. You're more likely to find people in their 30's and... More

Sojourn was a comfortable refuge on a cold snowy January night after a hard day of apartment hunting. The wait staff was attentive and friendly. I had the hanger steak with roasted mushrooms and whipped potatoes. It was scrumptious. My daughter and I split the cheesecake which was best every cheesecake in memory. My daughter is moving to UES from... More

Came here for a late night din din with my boyfriend after seeing La Boheme. We made a reservation and we were taken care of right away. I had my drink of choice (Titos on the rocks, extra dirty). Our server actually brought me a little extra olive juice in a shot glass in case I wanted to make mine... More

Chose this restaurant for location and reasonable prices and selections. Maid a reservation for 6:30pm and met our other couple there who had already arrived seated at a nice table with pillows against the wall. Waiter was pleasant and gave us the specials and made recommendations as the room was dark and hard to see the menu. We sat for... More

A last minute call but Wow...so glad! Had the skirt steak with scallion rice...totally satisfied. For what it's worth, is like see a little green - mayb a Asian slaw/salad. Just my 2. But go - it's worth it!

Went with 2 friends on a Friday night. Had a 7pm reservation. Place was busy but had several empty tables that had yet to be seated. Took 20 minutes for us to be seated which is quite a wait for having a reservation; they seemed very overwhelmed by the crowd which was surprising. Waitress was nice but recommended a dish... More

The most excellent arugula salad I've ever had. The place was packed, but I was able to sit at the bar & get food quickly.

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighbourhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighbourhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighbourhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
