We stay at a hotel very close to Dukes when in NYC. Several years ago we happened upon Dukes by accident and went in to buy some water. We were so surprised at what we found. They have a grill that runs 24/7. We usually get breakfast there. My husband an omelet, I usually get a bagel or croissant with... More

Not a bad place - but not a great place either - it does provide the service that you need for a quick bite - but not somewhere I would choose to go, more a place to go when there is nothing else.

The best and biggest breakfast wraps and sandwiches. Hot and prepared right in front of you. They are really good. The place has so many other kinds of food but this must be their specialty as local people line up in the AM to get their egg fix.

When you bring your food up to the counter to be weighed, ask to see the scale, which is hidden under the counter....which it is illegal to hide the scale!

We always dine in Café Duke when we're in New York as it's local and good value for money. It serves throughout the day - breakfast, lunch and dinner. We've eaten breakfast and dinner but not lunch as we're out during the day. There are various food stations ranging from burgers, Korean, pizzas to a help yourself buffet which serves... More

I was just in the mood for Udon and Café Duke is close by. I opted for the vegetarian and while the toppings are plentiful I thought the broth itself was kind of bland. Big portion but would try somewhere else next time for Udon. They do offer pretty much anything that you could possible want from a hot/cold buffet,... More

Expensive but not for New York prices. Tremendous variety of fresh and tasty foo. You can get a sandwich to sushi pizza or turkey and gravy and coleslaw to boot.

Cafe duke on 51st street is an excellent place to grab some buffet style food quickly. The food is fresh daily and a wide selection is offered everyday. The price can get a little high so don't go too crazy. A pack of Oreos is $7.99. But it is midtown Manhattan so that's what you have to expect. CAFE Duke... More

Really great no frills stop but choice of food and healthy options are so good. We had healthy drinks and a wrap but if it had been closer to our hotel we would have been back

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
