This place is worth visiting if you are around the St. Mark's area. The choice of sweets are rather unique with strong Asian influence, light, subtle, aromatic, and tasteful. The setting is very basic. Sometimes you might have to wait for a while and the staffs sometime appear absentminded. It is a must try if you never visited this place... More

This bar is tiny but desserts are amazing and for sure worth their price! Creme brulee dough'ssant is the one that anyone must try even it's 5$ each, but once you try you will not regret!

We ordered a chocolate cronut, cookie ice cream sandwich and two macroons and the total was almost $20, which I think is a little pricey for a takeout dessert. However, I think it is definitely worth it for the occassion treat. The macroons were good, but typical. The chocolate cronut was very good! It was my first experience of a... More

There are two very different Chikslicous places just one across the others. This is the cheaper one and has Takeaway. The deserts are OK but nothing more. The desserts run around $7 each. The bar looks much more fancy at twice the price. If in the area and looking for a dessert go to the "spot dessert bar" which is... More

I do not have much of a sweet tooth but since we were strolling by here we had to stop in. This place does not disappoint. The line was out the door but moved pretty quickly. Seating is very limited (tiny space) but we were happy to take our goodies to go. We got the tiramisu mochi, an assortment of... More

4 small tables. Its a small place and it's always with people inside. Good desserts. Good price. Easy to go from subway, take the 6 line.

I only had theirvanilla pudding but it was out of this world....it's worth a trip downtown just to have their pudding! I'll be back to try the other flavors....! However, be aware that excellent pudding does not come cheap...a mini cup was $4.

Varied selection, reasonably priced, attentive service and awesome eats. Amazing vanilla bean mille crepe and even more amazing service. The man behind the counter was so sweet and smiling the entire time--very rare for NYC. While there was much variety, there is also definite quality and something for all in my family. I'd love to come back and try the... More

not to be confused with chikalicious dessert bar across the street. the dessert bar is pricier, and is conceptually very cool- but to tell you the truth, the goodies at the dessert club are much more fun & my style. so chikalicious dessert club is tiny, so i rarely sit to enjoy my snacks there. i walk & eat at... I seriously can not recommend a single thing about this place. When we went they were out of 3-4 items which of course were our first choices. Then we ordered the creme bruleé.... what an absolute waste. To call the serving size small would be a compliment. It was the size of a reeces peanut butter cup and cost around... More

Staying in East Village

Neighbourhood Profile
East Village
There’s still an independent vibe to the East Village, which offers plenty of unique small businesses catering to longtime New Yorkers and area college students alike. The East Village retains a bit of the old-time neighbourhood feel that you can still experience today thanks to a mix of locally-owned shops, cozy restaurants, and lively bars. The scale of the residential blocks makes this a wonderful place to wander up and down the streets searching for the newest hip spot, or an old-school favorite. In the center of the neighbourhood, Tompkins Square Park serves as a gathering point for the New Yorkers that call the East Village home. The people-watching here is hard to beat.
