Pizza was very tasty at this “retro hip dufus cool”style pizza luncheonette. Eating areas included counter style or 70 style booths. Pizza had some hot oil squirted on it after coming out of the oven. I liked.

During a recent trip to NYC, we went on a quest for the best pizza slice. This is a daunting task in NY! To fully judge, we get 1 slice of cheese pizza (no toppings) and one slice of something interesting (in our case, jalapeno,...pepperoni and spicy honey). Both were delicious. Scarr's is not fancy, nor are they expensive (by New York standards), but they are delicious.More

Finally made my way to Scarr's and it did not disappoint. It's a popular spot, with lines similar to Prince Street Pizza. I preferred the regular cheese slice over the Sicilian square, but both were still good.

I went to Scarr's during the Pandemic, ordered a pie and some extras, The service person demanded an 18 % Tip. She said its customary. THAT IS A LIE. I'm a New Yorker, don't LIE. Service tips ARE NOT MANDATORY. You tip when you are...waited on at a table not doing a pick up order of your food. Why should I tip if i'm doing the work. Unethical practice. If you are new to New York , do not be fooled by service people, they are greedy, and manipulative, ask for menu and price before ordering and a receipt when transaction is completed.More

Wait outside to grab a slice to go, or head to the tiny back room to order off the menu. Two of us sat at the bar in the way back and took the suggestion of the bartender to order a Grandma's Pizza (not on...the menu). We were very pleased with our order. This place was busy on a weekend evening, so we were prepared for a somewhat long wait for pizza. They warned us ahead of time, too, which we appreciated. Limited adult beverage selection, but carefully selected and tasty.More

Best slice in NY hands down. Recently found out about this place and stopped in it's AMAZING and you can also have a glass of wine with your slice instead of a coke.

Perfect thickness to eat folded, just the right amount of char ( not burned, looking at you New Haven!), not greasy.

Asked a couple of locals where to grab a quick bite( pizza) both recommended scarfs as a must . Money wasn’t spent on the decor. Fast friendly service, with great taste . Small bar in back of window front of store. Absolutely very good pizza...with a great tasting crust.More

First of all, it's a small place, tables will fill up quickly when it is busy. Greasy goodness!! The kind where it runs down onto your hand and you want to lick it off. The thin crust perfectly crispy and chewy, with nice flavor. The...Sicilian was thick and chewy and wonderful. We had the had pepperoni and Margarita in both styles, and both were very tasty. Sicilian ruled, though! This is a hole in the wall location with a by the slice counter in front and tables in the back.More

Bursting with an amazing array of sights, sounds, and
